@aeronus7 Selene was a different entity to Artemis, being the Titan moon goddess as opposed to the Olympian one. Selene defiantly wasn't a virgin goddess - after having Endymion sleep forever so he wouldn't die, she had lots and lots of babies with him. Artemis fell in love with Orion, who either Apollo tricked her into killing or got done in by a scorpion sent by Gaia, and then got put in the sky, forming the constellation.

What Athena did to Medusa would have been child's play compared to what Artemis would have done. I've always seen Artemis as a little more hot headed than Athena, Acteon was turned into a stag and ripped to shreds by his dogs when he saw Artemis bathing but when Tiresias accidently saw Athena she just laid her hands over his eyes and blinded him.

@TarantulaCandy Few of the greek gods were a 100% good, most of them had a tendency for jealousy and fits of anger, but as you can read in some tales about her she often regretted her actions if she felt they were unfair. Aphrodite wasn't perfect either, she lied and cheated on her husband and she often tricked and seduced men for her own profit. I'm not saying you're wrong, but everything is not black and white. And maybe you should have read up a bit more on greek mythology before commenting.

I questioned Athena's wisdom because she put all the blame solely on Madusa alone after Madusa was raped by Pesiedon right in front of her statue in her temple. Thus, Poseidon raised an Island for Leto, and Artemis and her twin Apollo were born!
