i don t understand much about jazz, but i feel amazing about the solo on steel pan drum.i would like to know the name of the person who plays it. thank you and sorry about my english
Dico a queste 9 persone a cui non piace questa performance di Jaco: ma perchè non andate a farvi una birra!! Siete in grado di riconoscere almeno i basso elettrico in questa formazione?? Forse, quelle birre diventano due...
this is such a good music. if you ever heard something like this, and then you turn on the radio you just grab your head and start thinking wtf is wrong with the people out there xD
Jaco pulled his frets and filled his fretboard with epoxy after losing a band audition to Ralphe Armstrong, who as an accomplished upright player was already fluent on fretless. Ralphe played bass for a bunch of greats including Zappa, but in my opinion he really kicked it playing Gibson basses with Jean Luc Ponty. I saw him live. Ralphe is awesome to this day. Jaco is amazing. They are both bass God's.
Eso es todo. That's it. Jaco opened the door, entered through it, and everyone else after, just followed. Same thing Vinnie Colaiuta has done for drums.
we should stone the 3 dickheads who disliked this!! This is a beautiful piece of music and even if you don't like jazz you should respect it. RIP Jaco, you are missed!
This is some of the best playing I've seen from all these cats! Randy Brecker is on fiyah! And what can I say about Jaco that hasn't been said....nothing! He was in good form here, that's fasho.
B flat E flat D G C made so funky by Jaco.... try to play exactly what hes playing....cant do it....and get a load of the jazz pans solo....Wild ! RIP Jaco.....killed by a madman fuckin asshole bouncer Mother Fucker....Theres definitely a hole where he used to be...miss you Jaco
What year was this? I saw him in '81 or '82 with this same band. One of the best shows I've even been to. It was the tour before he had Mike Stern in the band, and it was 10 times better. With Mike Sterns was '84 and that just didn't compare to this band.
Jaco was the only person who had the freedom to walk around the stage :)
