You live in the past, the tables have turned. Plasma is MUCH cheaper now and they are better than ever now (now that they are disappearing), even for games.

I was talking about led being too expensive.

Plasma is the best for normal tv viewing as contrast, refresh rates are higher, while resolution is lower avoiding the stretching of standard definition.

lcd, is better for gaming as lcd offers higher resolution and a crisp imag and lower refresh rates which offer faster responce times as there is less image processing. They also do not suffer from burn in, as many games which have static graphics (healthbar, ammo) could destroy a plasma panel

Plasmas don't have lower resolutions, all plasmas in the market today do 1080p as well as LCDs do (well, LCDs TVs do, since a 30'' PC LCD can do 2560x1600 which is considered 1600p).

How large does a plasma have to be in order to have 1080p? In this case 63".. Lcd panels have higher resolution, simple. as you explanined your self, they dont make pc monitors based on plasma.

32" lcds have 1080p, no 32" plasma has 1080p as lcd as a technology is capable of higher resoulutions.

Umm...there have been 42'' plasmas which do 1080p for like 2+ plus years, it almost seems as if you were living in 2005-2006 (no offense).

I always thought LCDs were much better for almost everything except blacks though the latest ones are really good.

But I understand what you mean about size, my PC LCD monitor is 22'' and it does 10920x1080 (1080p) which I use with my HD cable box also to watch HD content through HDMI.

As i said before LCD as a technology is capable of higher resolutions, saying that a 42" plasma is capable of 1080p and your 22" lcd monitor is 1080p, in my view only seems to proove my point.

I went in an electrical shop, last week and to my horror there was 42" lG plasma at a resolution of 1024x768 and it is advertised as hd ready, its the LG 42PQ3000 btw.

I have 60" Philips HDTV but it was one of the older ones and only supports 1080i... when I play GTA IV, the game doesn't fit the screen, i tried to find the setting through remote,ps3,and ingame but nothing, I geuss its just the tv. Only happens on 1080i resolution.

Nope, DLP Digital light processing, They only come in very large sizes up to 73". They are the best cause they use more colors to create colors and you only have to change a projection lamp out every 3 years and other than that can last forever. There not flat, But the size of the screen out does the cool flat look, Mitsubishi makes them. Check them out, There alot cheaper for the size, 73" Ithink is around $2500? And the picture is far better than plasma or LCD.

Yeah you do... He is using a ps3 because when they made gta4 for ps3 they had some errors so after a ps3 update there were some errors fixed suck as lagging. That is why Gta 4 installs itself automatically in ps3 so it can load the game quicker by using the disk and the hdd.

The only case I have known of the Xbox scratching its disks is when the Xbox has been bumped or tilted while on. This is the only time it will scratch disks normally.

uuuhm... no, i have 2 friends whom never, ever have moved there Xbox 360, you can see a layer of dust surounding them. Yet both have been scratching them. And 40 GB is a lot for the PS3, look at how much the PS3 install's on your PS3, 3 GB!. That is not much, since on the pc you need to install 14 GB! (or more). Plus the quality of PS3 games is overall better wich means it has more to load. GTA IV on Xbox 360 is a bit of a lower quality then the PS3 that's why it needs more to load.

As for the price, I got a incredibly powerful system for less than £350. That includes a 45nm cpu, 8800GTS, motherboard, case, hard drive and 90 quid for a 22" screen.

I'm sorry but there isn't any beating that.
