  • One word. EPIC

  • This. Looks. Epic.

  • if you think about it, in the 25th anniversary marius was really stupid. he chose cosette over fucking SAMANTHA BARKS she is basically a godess so marius: YOU ARE AN IDIOT

  • Who is he playing Jean Valjean? Is that JOJ?

  • @jgoodrich46 Indeed it is :)

  • I saw this live in person, NBD.

  • I don't like the kid who plays (and sorry if I spell this wrong) Corset; no offense to the kid but the person playing that role has to be shallow in the cheeks and skinny. Remember, the inn keepers starve her basically.

  • the movie was fantastic.. make i tlike that please?

  • this is my favourite eponine!

  • IM GONNA SEE THIS IN 17 DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i really dont like this eponine despite the fact that she is from a bad background her character is meant to be nice and different to the other poor people but this actress makes the character too angry

  • im going to see les miserables in march! so excited!

  • I've only seen this musical once 5 years ago and only remember who Valjean, and Javier. Who is the blond guy singing at 2:35

  • My ideal cast :- Valjean - John Owen Jones Javert - Norm Lewis Marius - Michael Ball Enjorlas - Ramin Karimloo Cosette - Katie Hall Eponine - Lea Salogna Fantine - Ruthie Henshall (Sorry Patti :P) Thernardier - Matt Lucas Madame Thernardier - Jenny Galloway :D
  • @GarethMJTilley I agree with you...but if this really became the cast then it would be kind of creepy if Michael Ball played Marius...because he's like twice the age of Katie Hall...

  • Personally I think Rosalind James is amazing, but with a white and, usually, blonde young Eponine it is a bit annoying. Sure they want to be "colorblind", but at least have it make sense.

  • This is actually coming near to where I live at the Kravis center. I HAVE to go see it. This musical, besides Phantom of the Opera, is one of the most popular and I, unfortunately, do not know the story =(

  • @xPhoenixoftheOperax look up les "les miserables musical" on goggle and a site will come up that will tell you the story.

  • chills. i have them

  • I really don't like this that much. Katie Hall was in the musical concert at the O2 and in this, but no one else out of the O2 cast was in this version. I honestly dont like this and this cast does the 25th anniversary soundtrack. I really wish they used the O2 cast with Alfie Boe and them in this, and on the soundtrack. disappointed. :/

  • i saw this tour, I've never come out of a theatre with such an amazing feeling as this left me

  • Enjolras<3

  • Can't imagine Taylor Swift belting out On My Own

  • @unjichan I know what you mean, I'm nervous about that :O

  • @TheatricalNonsense No need to nervous anymore

The producer announced that they chose Samantha Barks over Taylor Swift

  • @unjichan now its Samantha Barks! :D

  • This Eponine is actually amazing!! Her voice is great!! Her name is Rosalind James and she shows great emotion.

  • To those who say they don't like the new Version of Eponine... you really need to see her in person. She was obviously being over dramatic for the trailer. She was amazing and her voice just flowed with the music. I got goosebumps and almost cried and I'm a teenage boy. Best musical I've ever seen <3

  • @sweetnessboy1 While that's all well and good she shouldn't be over-dramatic for the trailer or any reason. Rule #1 for an actor is to play the truth of the character.

  • i don't like this eponine. the eponine in the west end prodution was so much better.

  • the girl who played eponine looked angrey when she sang on my own.

  • the west end one is better Enjolras is shit

  • how could 4 people dislike this?! this is amazing!

  • i prefer the west end production. this is amazing, though!

  • I just saw this same production/cast in Dayton,Ohio this past weekend. It was AWESOME!

  • @hairybud4u No, you didn't. This is the UK tour which ended over a year ago and a completely different cast than the one you saw.

  • @UnMizable Then some of the cast members were also in the production I saw. I recognized Eponine and a couple others. The set was exactly the same they used in Dayton. Maybe they have more than one set touring. I know that not all the actors were the same, but some were.

  • @hairybud4u Well, the set design is exactly the same, but the cast is a completely different one, I can promise you that. They cast them very similarly in terms of looks but none of the UK cast (featured in this video) are or were part of the US tour at any point.

  • @UnMizable actually you have it backwards this is the U.S. tour cast (I saw it in Denver and you can look it up on the internet.) However you are right it is NOT the same cast as the one on West End in London

  • Comment removed

  • @bayliet No. This is the cast that was touring the UK and Paris, beginning in 2009 and ending in September 2010, the same one that recorded the live album. They have nothing to do with the US tour cast you saw apart from the fact that people were cast in a similar way. These are John Owen-Jones, Earl Carpenter, Katie Hall, Gareth Gates, Jon Robyns, etc. I know some of them. I have seen all of them live a couple of times.

  • Why do trailers always to give away the whole story these days? :/

  • Who's playing Enjolras?

  • i don't like this version of eponine, just no

  • @surita88 Why not, her voice is fine, she emotes well....

  • @surita88 Still better than Taylor Swift.

  • @surita88 she's better than taylor swift.

  • I had a chance to see this production while on vacation in Washington DC, but didnt....now I will buy tickets for the show here at home in Dallas over Christmas!

  • @Texguy12345 Hey, how much are the tickets? I can't find anything anywhere about the pricing for the Dallas show!

  • JOJ is definitely one of my favourite Jean Valjeans

  • Louder doesn't mean better. This performance is embarrassing. Passionless, artless, obstreperous, pathetic.

  • @lorrainewands

I TOTALLY DISAGREE! You must be a very old person. lol

  • @hairybud4u Old? Haha! I don't know whether to take that as a complement or an insult, but I think I'll choose the former just as an ego boost. LOL

  • :D

  • I've seen utterly terrible renditions of this show....I'm glad to see it back in capable hands, hehehe........dang, now I really wanna read the novel, hehehe

  • This looks AMAZING :D

  • this show was amazing!!!!BEST MUSICAL EVER

  • Whoever dislikes this has no true spirit. <3 Les Miserables For Life <3 .

  • The cast is great! I just wish Samantha Barks and Nick Jonas were on the tour, they're my favorite Eponine and Marius. But I'm still so excited to see it!

  • Best cast ever. If Lea Salonga played eponine and Fantine. Or even fantine. JOJ

  • Best musical ever. Period.

  • ahhhhhhh seeing it tonight in Denver!!!! can not wait!!!

  • @saviinas Omg. I saw it in Denver too. On Saturday. They're in Tennesse by now. But my friend was in it! At the beginning, he was on of the guards with the giant hats. It was so awesome. We also had a talk back afterwards. I got to met the actors who played, John Veljean and...oh God, what's his name...Thenardier. "master of the house". It was so cool.

  • @sadierae1996 no way!!! man i wanna just shake the hand of the dude that played Valjean. his voice gave me goosebumps each time he sang....i know it sounds cheesy but he really did sing with such emotion it got me all teary. My fav scene though was "One Day More". ahhhhh i would do anything to watch it again!!!! and when eponine sang :On My Own" i just wanted to hug her lol

  • @saviinas I know! I was bawling when he sang, 'Bring Him Home'. It felt so weird to see Richard (my friend) singing behind those amazing people in 'One Day More'. Everytime I come back to this video to comment on it, I just get this twinge in my stomach telling me to go see it again, but they've left by now. Ah. It was by far the best musical I've ever seen. :)

  • i saw this in new jersey. i dont cry when realitives died, but i cried during the final attack. i love this show. i've played valjean javert and enjolras.

  • @mookieland lol im oops

on my dads profile. im only 17 hahah

  • I have this CD! It got me obsessed with this wonderful musical!

  • I am looking forward to the film, but i worry about the tinkering, not that im against it, just i dont want it to ruin.

But a whole film of footage like this would have made me more than glad........i do not understand why they could not have done that for me :)

  • @dadeanocode I don't get that either! I would be personally very happy for them to film the whole show, like they did with Cats and release tha

  • do they have DVD of this ? not the concert editions but from wherever these clips came from ? Can anyone help please ? Thanks

  • My goodness...2:10 gives me chills every time. I wish I was able to sing such a powerful song. Some day!

  • @jacktodd1 No they had all the US tour there.

  • @CreepyElevator No they didn't! Not a single US Tour person in the bunch!

  • I met Rosalind James (Eponine in this video) they other day, she was soo nice and friendly :) xx

  • I saw this at the Queen's Theatre on 13th June. While it was excellent, the sets were nowhere near as elaborate as shown in this video :( such a shame! The bit at 2:14 was especially disappointing, Where was this shown?

  • @DJS6969 This was shown at the Barbican Theatre, I believe. This new production is also touring the United States, where I saw it in February. I actually prefer the more basic staging of the Queen's Theatre production. The new production does not have the revolving stage, which negatively affects some of the scenes.

  • Comment removed

  • @blyan85 I thought the revolving stage worked very well, don't get me wrong, I just felt as though it had been a little neglected! Eponime, The Thénardiers and Gavroche were especially fantastic. The biggest disappointment was the bridge! Javert here looks like he's really jumping and the background greatly adds to the effect. Queen's was just a bridge moving up (far too fast) while Javert stood in one place, hands in the air. and fell to the floor. Was that the same for you?

  • @DJS6969 from what i remember from the original staging, yes, that was how it was for me too. it has been eighteen years since i saw the production with the revolving stage... the suicide of javert was indeed much more powerful in the new production. another thing i forgot to mention about the new production is that it didn't have the text that appeared on the screen saying what year it was. that is another thing i liked about the original production.

  • never really liked dat sidestep thing they do for One Day More....

  • Look at this!! Look what we all did!xx Ashley Artus.xx

  • 2:10 - 2:21 ...

    O my dear god...

  • Loved every second being part of this incredible experience.x.

  • Madame thenardier forgot to pull up her dress all the way. Or maybe that was intentional... A bit scary

  • Éponine looks like a monkey.

  • @EponineKim1 A very talented and pretty monkey. :D

  • where can i find the dvd of Les Mis in full version? not the concert but the clips that are being shown here? Thanks :)) Cheers

  • @joepau09 I really want to know the answer, unfortunately I believe no such DVD exists. Promo footage is to make you go see it! :(

  • is it just me or does this eponine look like rosario dawson, just a little?

  • Comment removed

  • LoL garath gates looks funny at the end earl carpenter looked diffrent and jon robyns just epic and joj well he is just stunning

  • The girl playing Eponine here is one of the prostitutes in the 25th anniversary concert...

  • @neekee1011 shes also on the middle mic in the end of the day sorry les mis geekiness

  • @Stripes2331 Thanks for your help X3

  • this is the best footage I have ever seen from the show I think!

  • does anyone know if its possible to get a dvd or cd of this casting of les mis??? wold really appricate it =3 I loved this cast ... they were amazing and the show itself was just brilliant =D

  • @LIONE009 There is a CD of this cast, you can find it on Amazon or Itunes. It's called 'Les Misérables Live! - Dream The Dream'.

  • They are making a Les Miz movie. It's being cast now!

  • @ProfesserChoas25 Alfie Boe has already been cast as Valjean for it. Hoping to get an audition for Gavroche :D

  • Katie Hall's so cute. She has a baby face :3

  • @iAsian92 I sent her a fan message through facebook and she dam well blocked me. The Ignorant actress, there was no call for her to block me.

  • @fairgrounddiva

Lol. Yeah, I've heard of actors who're like that- quite unfortunate.

  • @iAsian92 YES:D

  • @iAsian92 ...except she wasn't in THIS performance and that was the 25th anniversary!

  • I saw this cast in Cardiff in December 2009 they were fantastics and the effects like when javert jumps into the river were incredible

  • I'm really confused on what to think now.

CaMack has now said that every production of Les Mis that opens from now on will be this new production.

So now I don't know whether:

    1. This includes having the new orchestrations for school editions

    2. Whether to want the West End production to close so that when it opens again it will be this.

    3. Whether to keep the West End production open to keep the old production.

  • I'm sorry I don't know his name but I'm not digging this Enjolras, I just feel that the singing voice should be deeper or more powerful (like Michael Maguire or David Thaxton for example)

  • The les mis movie is coming out in the next few years can't wait!!!

  • finaally a black eponine

omg urgh they make this seem soooooo cool and then when i c the clips there AMAZING don't get me wrong but in this they make it seem so much more like a movie

they neeed to make a le miz musical movie nooow

  • @jadem1122 Cameron Mackintosh has made a deal will a producer to make a film...

  • Ashley Artus was fab but Martin Ball should of played Thenadier on the UK tour. Love him. He is such a bloody sexy good looking actor

  • @alicesnowbulb If that's what you think then he shouldn't play Thenardier. Thenardier has got to be everything BUT good looking.

  • Eponine has very white parents... I'm questioning the real father there... LOL

  • @HappyThoughtsToU its the same in Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins too but its all because of this poltical corectness you see and not being racist etc. Its poltical corectness! :(

  • @HappyThoughtsToU LOL...the best part is during the attack on rue plumet, when one of thenardier's men says ''it's your brat, eponine. don't you know your own kid?!"

  • @blyan85 what was he suppose to say?

  • @HappyThoughtsToU But John Valjean is not her real father, and you never actually see her real dad.

  • @sadierae1996 Um... That's COSETTE! I said Eponine...

  • @HappyThoughtsToU Hahahahah! Oh my God! I'm so embarrassing. Haha I wrote that at like 2 in the morning. My bad. But yes, I now see where you're coming from. haha Also the young Eponine in the show was white as snow. Lol I was like, ok what happened here. haha

  • @sadierae1996 LOL Really? ... umm... she got really tan. I don't want to sound racist but if the casting directors were going to cast a black female to play Eponine, the least the could do if find a black little girl as well.

  • @HappyThoughtsToU Exactly! And (young)Eponine doesn't even have a speaking nor a singing part! What is there to lose? haha

  • @HappyThoughtsToU So I wasn't imagining that she was white at first then?

  • @HappyThoughtsToU thinks he's quite a lover but there's not much there! :3

  • Was the whole of this 2010 produciton filmed and will it ever be released on DVD/Blu-Ray?!? Someone from lesmis.com please reply! Thanks...

  • You can get the O2 show live performance on blu-ray DVD at amazon.co.uk, it doesn't seem to be available in the states, so you need a multi-region player to view it.

  • @kittierdg Yeah I know that (It's one of my xmas presents this year and can't wait) but I really want to know if they are every going to release a live cast VIDEO recording of the NEW 25th Anniversary Production. i.e. The full video of where all these clips were taken from! They've clearly filmed the entire production to produce this promo video! Does anyone know?!?

  • wow

  • I always love how they do the inspector's death.

I will be dreaming the dream this Saturday at the Papermill Playhouse in New Jersey. I'm driving almost 4 hours to see this show and I can't wait.

  • The Eponine looks like a "Mimi" from Rent hehe :D

    LOVE THIS MUSICAL!

  • seen this cast 3 times :)

one of my good friends is in it :D

  • @BenJames012 Who is that friend?

  • @Monkeyballmania his names peter. he does some of the singing parts, like the announcer in the barricade, and a few more solo parts :)

  • @BenJames012 Awesome :) Could you ask him for me how he got the rare chance to do something like this?

  • @Monkeyballmania well he's been doing acting since school. and recently he's just been going to a load of auditions, and he either heard about les mis from a friend, or someone recommended him to the producers. he was on the 25th anniversary stage too, as a part of the barbican cast (the ones in this video, obv lol)

  • @BenJames012 Awesome! The reason I asked is one of my friends went to audition for Gavroche in the West End on Tuesday but hasn't told me how to do it.

  • COSSETTE SHOULD NOT BE BLONDE AND SHOULD NOT BE WEARING A GREEN DRESSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAHHHHH

  • I love the transition from Eponine to the background to reveal the barricade

  • john owen jonas- officially the 2nd best valjean EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I've been looking for who will play Fantine also. I can't find any info!! And all it says on the Les Mis official website is that Lea Solanga played Fantine in the OZ concert, but I don't know if that means she will be touring and I can't find a clip of her from that concert.

  • @operagirl81 Madalena Alberto

  • @NoodlesSF Thank you!! :)

  • who is playing the role of Fantine? 0:21

  • @RusDion Madalena Alberto

  • i really want to cry for the story of Fantine!!! 0:21

  • cant wait till march when it comes here!

  • this is the cast from the new cd...

  • I LOVE LES MIS SO MUCH

  • awe so sad its all over!

  • Master of the ouse is the best! Ashley and Lynne were fab as the Thenadiers!

  • Wait, wait, wait am I to understand this is the version that is going to be touring the US as well? Cast included?

  • @VBZBII is it???!!!

  • @becky5428

I'm not sure; I can't find any actual information regarding that, but I think not. Josh Owen Jones, this version's Valjean, stated a few times that it was all over and he shaved his beard and all. I'm really not sure, I was asking.

  • @VBZBII I think you mean John Owen-Jones. He is phenominal. My fav Jean ValJean. Yes, he shaved his beard off as he starts a year run as the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera in November. So if the US tour does go on, he wont be in it x

  • @becky5428

Oops, I did mean John Owen-Jones, sorry. He's my favorite ValJean as well. Aw, that's a shame; I have fifth-row tickets to the US tour of Les Mis for when it comes to Arizona in June, would've been wonderful to see him. I'm sure it'll still be spectacular, though.

  • @VBZBII my favourite too!

  • The show tonight at The Barbican Theatre was brilliant. The whole cast were superb, every voice and the chorus and acting excellent. The scenery was so good too.

  • whose playing eponine?

  • @ImUrFanGirl Rosalind James

  • i JUST LOVE THIS MUSICAL!!

  • I watched this April at the hippodrome in birmingham it was AMAZING!!! I loved Garath Gates as Marius and OMG John Owen-Jones is the best Jean Valjean EVER!!!!!!!!

I just want to watch it again and again

  • @jessmason14 I could watch it again and again with that UK tour cast aswell. I met John Owen Jones during one of the intervals on tour and got a picture with him in his costume and make up. Got oen with Gareth in his Marius gear aswell. Lynne Wilmot and Ashley Artus who play the Thenadier's so brilliantly were lovely when I met them aswell. Fab cast. I so so wish they would do one more round of a UK tour. The tour has been very short sadly.

  • @Totallyfairorgans ur so lucky and i no i'd like, no love them to go on tour again
