Buying things in China is 1. Bad for our earth this stuff is made with plastic and foam which has harmful chemicals in it which hurts us and the earth, it is often made in bad quality and breaks then goes into a landfill.

2. The chemicals and the lead are VERY bad for us.

3. It is bad for the factory workers in china, the air is polluted, Some workers don't get enough sleep, paid well, benefits or a healthy working area I heard their fingers will even blister and bleed from the work.

@ttrrty not to mention that it meets safety standards world wide Ive seen a lot of ac adapters made in china and as a result, they are on fire, I saw this one recall that have complaints from everywhere one time I saw a computer ac adapter recalled after 4 complaints in Australia that these adapters overheating, more than 3 in Europe, 2 in Canada, 1 in the US and more than 3 reports in the Asia pacific region that these adapters overheated.

Yes....You are right, in that the toys were made as specified by the importer of record. So boycotting China is the wrong approach. If you want to do the right thing, it would be to boycott the companies who ordered the products to that specification. Companies trying to shift the blame are everywhere in every country...... This Christmas our 3 yr old will only get toys made by Mom & Dad & our relatives. Wood and metal only and no Plastic or PVC.
