The law can't protect people from their own stupidity.

@Tarten46 We have the same problems here in Australia. Vast distances, long roads, fast cars and a poor attitude with MOST drivers. Booze and drugs and driving tired all add up to one of the highest vehicle death rates per capita in the world. I'm no expert but we need better driver training and education in our high schools and a focus on our booze and party culture. Instead, what has our local police done lately? Spent over $400 million on speed cameras that make the Gov $100 million a year.

I've drank and drove many times. Thinkin I never cared what'd happen to me. My 2nd DUI took my license for two yrs. I quit that early morning. 1:30 am Oct 9th 1992. The beer between my legs while I drove was my last. Still sober. I'm 47 now. Lucky to have not hurt someone else. God Bless.

Everyone please do not drink and drive :/ I've learned to never drink at all because Holt High School lost two seniors/graduate on january 30th 2011 due to drunk driving and now the drive of the car is doing his time. If one team dies every 60 minutes from drunk driving accidents then that means that over half a million die every year. I dont think that many teens die. Another stat that is wrong. great job. When I went to high school (Troy High, Troy MI Graduated in 1994) they did a thing where the law enforcement education program (LEAP) brought some smashed up cars in for an assembly. Boy, it scared the crap out of me. As an adult I will never forget those mangled up cars. Even today my wife and I donate to LEAP, its a great service educating youth about things like this.

Everyone please do not drink and drive :/ I've learned to never drink at all because Holt High School lost two seniors/graduate on january 30th 2011 due to drunk driving and now the drive of the car is doing his time. It's vary hard for all of us and it's hard for me because i don't like reading in the lasning state journal and watching the news saying that a teen or more have died recently from drunk driving. So please promise not to drive drunk or get in the car with a drunk driver.

Although, In my humble oppinion 1 life lost is to many. Never think it won't happen to you. Never assume your ok to drive. Even if it's only a few miles away, NEVER DRIVE INTOXICATED, or ride with an intoxicated driver.

If one team dies every 60 minutes from drunk driving accidents then that means that over half a million die every year. I dont think that many teens die. Another stat that is wrong. ONE bottle of beer isnt enough to impair most people, teen or not.

great job. When I went to high school (Troy High, Troy MI Graduated in 1994) they did a thing where the law enforcement education program (LEAP) brought some smashed up cars in for an assembly. Boy, it scared the crap out of me. As an adult I will never forget those mangled up cars. Even today my wife and I donate to LEAP, its a great service educating youth about things like this.

in my opinion, half of the people in the US should not be allowed behind the wheel of a car, seriously most people are retarded. Oh and the sad excuse for a driving test doesnt help either... Im 23 and got my license the day i turned 16. You know how many accidents I've been in?? 0. Speeding Tickets? 0. Any kind of moving violations? 0. Why?
