I guess the collaboration was ok. I think the performance would have been a lot better had only one of them sang with David Foster playing. I just wasn't that impressed with the both of them together.

I love Kelly!! Love that she doesn't overpower and take over the song and lets him sing with her but at the same time you hear her incredible voice!

Awesome rendition of our national anthem as performed by Kelly Clarkson, Seal (a native of the United Kingdom) and David Foster (a native of Canada). Gotta admit, 'The Star-Spangled Banner' is among the two national anthems that David Foster produced and/or arranged and/or performed, along with his own national anthem 'O Canada'. I wonder if Seal knows his own national anthem 'God Save the Queen', also the royal anthem of Canada. Thank you very much indeed for posting!

Booooo! Show a little respect for the stars and stripes on Memorial Day weekend, please! Don't make up your own version of the National Anthem; shame on you!...The singing was fantastic, but would have been much better suited for the end of a Disney movie or similar such vocal ensemble. Please stick to the script when it comes to the National Anthem. Thanks.

@kellyclarksonismygod He did not 'compose' he arranged. There is a difference. I happen to like this version. They did sing fantastically and thankfully, they pulled this new arrangement off well enough that they didn't totally trash the song. Which many pop-stars do and quite frequently. @JTStally isn't an asshole for having a different opinion than yours. Not everyone is going to like everything everyone else does and that is their right.
