  • It's ok, but should be a bit more 'echoey' like the GG version.

  • @kdreamland true, but i DID make it when i was less musically uhm... smart, i guess.

  • I once made a remix of the original 8bit version. Care to check out my remix? watch?v=__erPo2aeko

  • @vstman it's nice. kinda sounds like something massive attack would've made.

  • @sonicandmariorulz what did he say?

  • The 8 Bit version of StH was one of the first games I ever played. I STILL OWN IT TODAY! HECK! I EVEN BOUGHT ANOTHER SMS TO PLAY IT! :D

  • You know this is a pretty cute song I wonder if I could remix this song?

  • @pinhead2778 sure, go right ahead!

  • @sonicandmariorulz Smiles cool...^^ Mind if I use different pictures for Bridge Zone Music?

  • @pinhead2778 that's not really my problem, as i'm not the one making the remix, so pretty much you can do whatever the crap you want with it, as long as you give credit.

  • *Robotnik. Excellent song.

  • @Thrashyiff thanks ye.

  • This sounds..."smoother" than a Genesis orchestration. I think the rhythm should have a "dirtier" sound to it, to match the Genesis snare.

  • @HinataChan30 in all honesty, i did this really lazily. in fact i'm kinda not that good with music... is it at least good though?

  • @sonicandmariorulz Objectively? I find no real problems with it. I like the instruments.

  • @HinataChan30 cool then. :)

  • @sonicandmariorulz It's accurate, but the synths are not representative of 16 bit at all.

  • @thomasbradleyh well sonic 4's so-called 16-bit music isn't really all that 16-bit either, is it?

  • @sonicandmariorulz I hadn't heard anyone call it 16-bit, but that's probably because it wasn't 16-bit at all. The synths were, however, relatively lo-fi sounding.

  • @thomasbradleyh i suppose.

  • Hey, you created that zone's art? Do whathever if that's a mockup.

  • @HCKTROX umm actually i didn't make it. it came from a fangame engine called sonic worlds. all i did here was make the music. sorry!

  • @sonicandmariorulz Ok. This song is public, so, may I use this on my hackrom, or at least the drums?

  • @HCKTROX go right ahead. i don't mind. i mean, that is what i put it out there for. just be sure to give credit.

  • it sounds like Tail's theme from Sonic Adventure

  • @JermHasaBigWeenie actually that theme was based upon this one... so yeah. good ear?

  • @sonicandmariorulz I figured, they're very similar

  • ew. soundfonts

  • @shalpp no one asked you to state your opinion, but i'm going to deal with it and stat that it was the only way i could make this. now please stop hating and go somewhere else, as you can see most other people on here don't hate it.

  • @sonicandmariorulz *state, not stat. ^_^, fail!!

  • nobody told me i couldn't state my opinion, bitch boy.

  • @shalpp instant blockage.

  • Nice work, dude!

  • thats really good.

  • Is Acoustica Mixcraft free and downloadable?

  • Where did you get the instruments? I don't think the Ultimate Megadrive SoundFont has any of this.

  • @Alej9fl you obviously haven't looked THAT deep into it, because it does... unless you're using an older version.

  • @sonicandmariorulz I use the version that RecFreeMedia put on his video. Version 3 or something. is there a newer one out? (If so, can you tell me where to get it?)

  • @Alej9fl i used that one too, but i dunno... i haven't really used this stuff for a while, so just dig deep into it on whatever program you use and just try to find the sounds that match these, cuz i'm too tired to deal with this.

  • Anal fucking in the bottom

  • @tcvicesquad o_0 eeeeehhhh what?

  • @tcvicesquad haha

  • Looks awesome! A fan hack?

  • @thatnerdyrefrenceguy actually, no. from what i know, it's from a custom made game engine called sonic worlds.

  • i want level sprites!!!!

  • @DoomGuy131 Sorry man, can't give em' to ya. Don't actually have them. I just got the pic off Google Images.

  • @sonicandmariorulz ok whatever, thanks anyways.

  • @sonicandmariorulz wut is dat game?

  • sounds like a SNES version

  • @sonicandmariorulz: So, theoritically, if I didn't like this mix either, and didn't think it was as "epic" as you proclaimed, that would make me bad too, wouldn't it?

  • @ShadowSpeedRider I was joking about the "epic" part. And I was also joking about the "bad" comment. I should try to make better jokes.

  • @sonicandmariorulz: It's not your fault: Text isn't exactly the best way to write out jokes, because voice inflections and emotions can't really be read through text alone.

  • How do you make it 8-Bit I wanna try it out and is there a difference between this version and mixcraft 5? and awesome work btw

  • Lol! Midget Sonic

  • @nicholasthetaylor..what?

  • @raveakidd

Oldschool Sonic is midget Sonic because modern Sonic always looks like he's 7 feet tall unless he's standing next to an average sized human.

Re-imagining is the curse of every classic character, and not just in remake movies.

  • @raveakidd What I meant was... *points* Sonic looks tiny! You seen the size of that fence!? What kind of hammer do you bang those nails in with? A bloody big one, that's what XD

  • They should of had this level in the genesis version.

  • It would be awesome if the people at Sonic Retro would make a hack of sonic 1, but with all the levels from the 8-bit version.

  • I'm trying to make a hack with all the 8-bit sonic 1 levels. Not sure if i'll do it on sonic 1 or 2, pretty hard though.

  • @The8bitbeast Yeah, I have to admit, that IS hard to do.

  • @devonray75 I decided to do it on Sonic 2 because it's a lot easier and I have some of the green hill art in. I might post a vid soon if i get some more done.

  • @The8bitbeast Okay. That'll be cool. =)

  • @devonray75 Perhaps even more interesting of making a mix of both the existing 16 bit levels and adding the unique levels of Sonic 1 SMS like the bridge level, jungle level, and the sky base level and airship that would take place after Scrap Brain Zone.

  • @TheDutchGhost ooo... nice idea dude.

  • @sonicandmariorulz As you probably also know there seemed to have been such a project in development.

Sadly the SMS levels are not standard but optional (I would have liked to see them integrated into the regular progression of levels).

Also the controls/physics of the main character seem to be a bit off, I would prefer if they had sticked to the classic Sonic 1 or 2 system.

  • @devonray75 Do you mean the 8-bit levels put in and edited to fit the Mega Drive's pallete and sound chip?

  • @redhornett Yes, that's exactly what I mean.

  • @devonray75 Ok. I'll see what I can do.

  • @redhornett wait so you're actually gonna do that?!

  • @sonicandmariorulz If I can, I'll try.

  • @redhornett You do your best, my friend. If you don't get it, that's okay. I'm sure many others will do it.

  • i would shoot myself trying to go through jungle zone

  • @devonray75 I'm one of them and believe me, we've tried.

  • @devonray75 "Sonic the Hedgehog: Extended Cut" - sounds nice :)

  • @SPeacock Oh yes! I Agree! =)

  • Nice remix!! Loved it. Can you post a link for download, please? Thanks!

  • sure!

  • @sonicandmariorulz

    Thanks, dude! =D

  • no prob!
