Pause the video, then click on 2:45 on the timeline - it's two completely different shots. On the left we have Neytiri, on the right it's the flying aircraft....I don't think this video is actually stereoscopic at all, the right side is just a few frames faster than the left side which in turn creates a false 3D effect, at times.

The word you're looking for is "Muster" rather than "Mustard". There's something a little odd about the 3d video of you. Left and right frames aren't quite in synch, it seems. I see a shimmer on movement produced by a slight difference between the left and right-eye views. (I've been free-focussing for years - I use that shimmer to do "spot-the-difference" puzzles by free-focussing the two images together). The two reference dots don't quite match your separation, either. Thumbs up though.

Frame advance is a poor way to fake 3D... At best, it will randomly switch from Parallel to Cross-eye. At worse...it'll just piss off your viewership.

Wow the trailer is just as good as the film on that rubbish bluray with rubbish dtshd master audio that I’ve only watched once in full, what a predictable load of rubbish. Avatar was total pants. I haven’t cared to watch this, again on bluray I hate dtshd master audio it ruined the film listening experience. I ended up taking the bluray out and playing DVD with glorious DOLBY DIGITAL.

for the very confused out there: for this to work you need the old school 3D glasses! that is to say a pair that have one blue and one red lense. the RealD 3D glasses you get at the cinema are designed to view a 3D film that is being projected through "circular polarising" filters. your computer screen doesn't do this, so it will not be in 3D.

Some people are so stupid. The glasses you are using i.e. those Real 3D ones you get at the cinema are POLARISED. Meaning they only work with screens that support them, such as the cinema where they use two projectors and a coated screen to view the 3D correctly.

You won't see an ounce of difference using these glasses to view the video.

Actually it is in 3d. I just watched it with red-blue 3d glasses. The guy talking at the beginning didn't work so well with my 3d glasses, but once the trailer started it looked correct. Note that the 3d glasses you got from the theatre at Avatar use polarized lenses, which is a different type of 3D and you can't use it at home. only the red-blue glasses will work here.

Impressive! have always thought delivering 3D via highly compressed CODECs would be quite a challenge, given the interleaving or mixing of frames, natural expected through the CODEC compression algorithms. And perhaps compression is indeed the obvious reason it takes a moment for the stereo adjustments to occur during drastic scene changes.

because the computer display thingy is displayed in 2 parts like red and blue the movie theathre is divided into 1 part so there is only one color needed if the computer would be displayed in 1 color it would work with the real 3d glasses if you get the red and blue glasses and change the option for red and blue it should work

Kind of limits the usefulness of a 3D trailer, because most screenings are in 2D. In my local cinemas Avatar is the only 3D film, so they couldn't use a 3D trailer at all.
