I enjoyed Jamie Gold's part in the season. He played a bit silly but some of the time he put some really good plays out. Barry G has been bluffing practically every time he plays. And kaplan surprized us all with his bluffs. I think this is just a slow bit, it'll pick up. Im looking forward to seeing Phil Ivey in the mix.

Sammy and Eli may make for the sort of entertainment that GSN is looking to provide the audience, but unfortunately the two of them together pretty much ruin the table. They end up in a lot of pots together with trash hands, playing chicken with raises and reraises. And when they do get it all-in, they run it twice most of the time and split the pot. Gus Hansen and Daniel Negreanu are both much better NLHE players. So is Todd Brunson, but it looks like he was card dead for much of this session.

I should point out that what Harrington and Greenstein say about how to win at NLHE cash games is true: play against weaker players. And Sammy and Eli excel at that, winning millions each year in big games against rich, but less-skilled, poker players. In certain respects, these two aren't really playing poker here in season 3, THEY ARE ADVERTISING TO GET ACTION LATER in juicy non-televised games with moneyed fish who see them play on TV and then mistakenly conclude: "I can beat those guys!"
