It's a perfect example of the effects of hierarchy/authority - obviously on a small scale but if a "communist" society had the sort of thought control as that site does it would be authoritarian to the bone. My take is many of the moderators are otherwise powerless in real life and use that site as some sort of avenue to self importance.
