  • I agree with Ali. The "resistance" killed many more Iraqis than Americans. Some US troops committed horrible crimes, but the Ba3thi and Salafi scum mass murdered many times more Iraqis.

  • Gnadhi didnt fight successfully.British gave India freedom only when they thought it was time and the Brits had no interest anymore. If you know the actual history, it was Subhash Chandra Bose who lead INA to armed resistance against British troops in India and that agitated the British and Bose was the most popular liberation leader in India during that time, not Gandhi.Gandhi as immortalized after WW2 cause Bose got help from Japan and Germany and he was dead. Gandhi myth is western propaganda

  • self determination or no self determination it does not give them the right to steel a country

  • no no they wont give kurds a city because it does not belong to them

  • Doesnt it ever cross ur mind that kurds havent been giving the right to self - determination, for many, many years?

    D):

  • okey okey lets stop all comments by americans are shit thats it?

  • who are you calling shit?

  • the guy on the right is most likely a shia "ali"

  • okasha88, I shot this interview. "Ali" is not his real name, which is why it is in " ". They are both Sunnis, of that I can assure you. Furthermore, your assumption that names delineate sect is ignorant and misinformed. One of our own reporters Marwan was kidnapped by Shi'a militants who refused to believe he was a Shi'a because he had a "Sunni" name. Please inform yourself better before making such comments.

  • how do you guys get by without getting attacked in day to day baghdad? how do you avoid danger?

  • I doubt it's these Iraqis that are Dangerous, but the exact government in Place. As long as Iraq has no peace US will have a BASE and that is the PLAN.

  • Yeah and our soldiers will continue to die day by day, Iraqi people see us as invaders, we are not welcome .. you should sign up for the army and check on you after a year and see if you still have the same opinion.

  • Why would I sign up for a war i don't believe in? Where would my will to fight come from?? We are invaders and it's a shame you can't see this, if we weren't, than Iraq would be funding this whole liberation thing you call "Iraqi Freedom", the joke is on US!! My opinion comes from Millions of refugees in America, who have fled and lost a family member to this "Liberation"

  • @hindwood, US took peace away from Iraqi's lives.

  • @okasha88 ali doesnt have to be a shia name my dads name is ali and he is not shia

  • I think both agreed the Americans are very kind to all ppl, specially to kids and old and the oppressed. Both agree and had almost confessed that the present of Americans or Iraqi police was meant protection/safety for all common ppl. So what are the Iraqi resistance movement fighting for? The guy on the left was stump almost speechless when ask this question. If the Iraqi wanted to live like the Kuwaiti or Saudi less the corrupt Shiek, the time to do it is NOW. Stop helping Iran & the Al-Qeada.

  • Both of them are right.

  • Invading a someone else house is wrong. So What is this people doing in a house that does not belong to them?...are they tourists or sightseers?...the answer is not...they are soldiers shooting guns.

  • Ali is right

also Muhhamad said some good stuff.

i agree that any of our troops who do something Bad should be punished.

  • It really stinks what is going on over there but it also stinks what has been going on over here. Sadly, Americans (lots of them) die too everyday..we just don't actually blow ourselves up..we kinda try to hold onto our lives. War is never pretty but there is a much greater war that is going on right here in America. I feel for you two and all but perhaps we can get our soldiers home to protect us because you dont want us there. Believe me, I would rather have my husband home with me!

  • News flash..Here in America..if the LAW DOG has a reason to believe they need to bust your door down and go through everything in your home throwing it around. If you resist this..then you are really in big trouble. Another offense..and that is right here in America against Americans..

  • This war is about money. Bush/Cheney and their cronies are making millions through Halliburtan and other private contractors. If they can secure Iraq, they will continue to make their millions, but if they can't, they are holding on until the next election. That is what the surge is really about. Protecting "American" interests.

  • The U.S president only started this war to make himself look good. Instead he made a mess of things and all on both sides are dying and shouldnt be. He got his foot stucka dn doesnt know how to get it out now. Im glad that you both stated your opinions and beliefs. And in the end all agreed. Thats the way it should be with all.

  • iraqis not 's - forgive my '

  • Actually they are Kurds, but I guess we can use the official nationality.

  • It's great to see Iraqi's speaking personally about their beliefs about what's going on. Better than reading the New York Times for perspective. Educated Americans (not necessarily college, but having a more thorough understanding of the history, war, politics, etc. in U.S. and Middle East) and Iraqi's are our best hope.

  • I'd be resisting if someone invaded my country and claimed it as their own with no reason....and if the situation was reversed each and every american would do the same....It's sad to see and what makes it worse is that americans need to educate themselves and have some awareness of others than themselves

  • Vids8888 self-proclaimed "educated", this is not about an invading force trying to claim Iraq as their own, it is about gov'ts and extremists waging war at expense of those just trying to live their lives and take care of families. Anyone else feel this is about America claiming a 51st state?

Vids888, few dispute injustice of US Gov't deciding for Iraqi's that their homeland be battlefield in war against Extremism. But try not to over-simplify things while calling yourself educated.

  • the two guys agreed in the end and they are both right. what they don't understand is that the U.S. economic interests (Wall St./CIA) that started this war WANTED a civil war to happen. it's reverse psychology. look at what Cheney said in '94. everyone KNEW an invasion, with disbandment of the army, would lead to civil war. purpose is to divide Iraq according to oil geology, and controlling the Shiite part (where the oil is) as a client state/protectorate.

  • Actually mate, the Shiite part is not the only part with Oil. The Kurdish/Northern part is also filled with oil. Why do you think the Iraqis refuse to give cities like Kirkuk and Khanaqin back to the Kurds? Don't need to be a genous to figure it out. I agree with everything else though.

    Peace from a Kurd.

  • actually if you say one thing about resisiting american forces i believe they will maybe question you if your going out in public and holding hate speaches but they will not kill or torture you.. now if you take arms against the americans.. thats obvious what anyone would do when being shot at.

americans dont even know how good they got it when they stand in the streets and demonstrate against the war (or government) without fear of being killed or hurt.

  • The groups in Irak that can behave and act according to the expectations of the occupation forces, are the ones that understand how to accelarate the exit of the coalition army. It is the politically accepted way of ending the conflict.

Those who come from Saudi Arabia and other muslim countries to "bomb-and-resist", are extending the occupation.

  • ignorence is the cause of most of this - an education can do wonders for the soul :) it's just that ignorant (meaning uneducated) people use religion to fuel their bias's towards what they don't understand - it makes them afraid and their is a vicious little circle of causation there - this is aout all people and cultures - ignorance breeds fear, suspicion, and there is absolutly no trust...

  • is this little love fest funded by the Lincoln Group?

  • Well, they articulated pretty well. I suppose I'm not living in iraq, but it would interesting to see whether most people see the americans as planning to stay for ages or leave. It is interesting to me that the guy who blurred his face speaks out against the violence while the other guy who sort of supported the resistance against the US did not. It seems if you don't say you want to resist American occupation, you have to hide your face or face being hunted down and killed.

  • What really bother's me is that the Arab countries should be stepping in taking over from the U.S. But that brings up the Shia and Sunni acting like christians in N. Ireland, and the Arabs and Persians are staring at each other like Deniro looking in the mirror in Taxi Driver "you talking to me?". If the Iraqs just stopped fighting we would be gone unless that's not really the agenda here - both our's and their's...

  • i like the deniro part. But the thing u need to know is that persians dont want iraq to be in peace. A big part of the violence in iraq is caused by the iranian goverment. Why? simply they hate us, hate goes back 1500 years ago. They believe we arabs ended their civilization and baghdad should belong to Iran (baghdad is a persian name)

  • I'm very familiar with the animosity between arabs and persians and that goes to the point I was trying to make, that even if Iran is supplying weapons to the shia in Iraq, there is no way the Iraqs would have anything to do with Iran after this is over... I mean look at the wahabis staring at shite Iran - it must be giving them diarria in Saudi Arabia :)

  • Thanks for the information, Alameer.

  • mossad and cia are not using car bombs in iraq idiot the iranians are. and if you had half a brain you would see that ,the mullahs of iran are behind all the violence in iraq courtesy of muktada al sadr.

  • the man on the left keeps talking about killing americans is ok because so many iraqis are killed each day .but who is killing the iraquis its the foreign fighters and iraquis. suiside bombers so your going to blame us troops. blame hammas and iran and put blame where it needs to be.

  • right on dude! unbelievable how they kill eachotehr and make their own lives miserable and try to spread that shit to the rest of the world and then they try to blame us.. uunfuckingbelievably insain

  • This was insightful. Thanks.

  • Thanks for posting this. It's good to get the perspective of people who live there. This is what journalism is supposed to be. Bring us more.

  • Well said.

  • excellent!

  • Non-violent resistance has been the only way to bring peace and justice in modern times. Examples, India, South Africa, and with Martin Luther King and civil rights in America. In modern times, confronting the Army only destroys yourself. Organize against the occupation by non-violence.

  • But India is still a backward country

  • Backward in what regard? I would say that India's economy is 'emerging' I guess you should read the book "The world is Flat' by Thomas Frieman to see how India's ecomomy is more flexable and modern that the US. Peace

  • India still needs human rights reform; as with China. I think Gandhi only won cause the rest of the world saw the unnecessary violence towards the Indians as a savage thing; peace is not a characteristic of Indian culture.

  • Non-violent resistence is a tactic against occupation, discrimination and other abuses of power and for the most part, has been the only way that has been successful in bringing change. Change not peace, because resistence always brings about disruption. But suicide bombs change nothing!

  • peace actually is a charateristic of indian culture. buddhism was founded in india as well as hinduism and siekism. all of these are extrememly peacefull religions that are followed by most of the population.

  • Um...those are religions and philosophies that originated there, but are not truly followed there, especially buddhism; the Indian caste system prevents mobility in profession and women rights are still unheard of. Domestic violence pervades there, as well. HIstory, especially events from thousands of years ago, do not speak for contemporary Indian society.

  • true.

  • The gentlemen in the video managed to have a civil conversation on very charged subjects that involved their friends' lives and their own lives being in danger as a matter of everyday life. This is a model for exchange, and the only way towards peace. If you can't comment without adding inflammatory remarks, you are not adding to the dialog, but merely being a tool of your own emotions, and perpetuating violence in your own small way.

  • Very well said

  • @Pruncible Very well said.....I try to make very similar points myself in the comments that I make on YouTube also....

  • Karma52 is a fucking tool. I'm sure that the CIA cloned a couple ragheads and their family, and trained them to yell 'Allahu Akbar!' whenever one of their suicide bombing tools killed innocent people. If you beleive the thoughtless drivel you just typed, then you should open your fucking eyes.
