Well obviously the religious characters are fictional..someone has created them and forged stories about them.

That doesn't detract from whatever faith you follow. Regardless if i'm not religious, i still grasp the fact that the main holy texts aren't to be taken literally, its merely guidelines and morals on how to live your life, its silly to think that they meant for you to believe that it was any different from the greek myths of zeus, or the norse and Odin.
