  • How many versions of this ad are there please? I've only seen this version plus the "It's your call" version. Is there a third version as well? This series was really awesome.

  • Whats the song?

  • @easypeesylemonsquezy The creepy circus music!

  • THE MIRACLES VERSION

    pjyoung(.)co(.)uk/

just take out the parenthesis. scroll down to the section that says "FILM" and its the last one there. you're welcome c:

  • @TheFatWhiteGirl Wicked, thanks. Also you've entertained me this morning :)

  • @wuzzlevideos No problem. All in a days work for The Fat White Girl.

  • @TheFatWhiteGirl Also, woot, he's British!

  • For anyone who wants the "miracles" version heres the link -

  • @XXXTheEpicMeowXXX gwah its not letting me post it >:C

  • Evil clown song

  • they did this ad really well.

  • why not just run that creepy spinning guy over ? problem solved

  • very good commercial. good way of getting the message across - stays in mind.

  • Powerful shit. I just hope most of us got the message though...

  • 0:45 WTF BOOM

  • This video is really cool, i like it and hope the LTNZ keep it going, it is entertaining, but at the same time gets the message across

  • kinda creepy... :) but really cool..

  • Whats this song?

  • id like to know too if its not a tune especially made for LTNZ

  • has any one GOT the MIRACLE one in this series

  • haha at 7 seconds that black pulsar is my brothers car lol

  • dam thats trippy.. I want to know what it says at the end too.. Also I saw the one where it lands on near miss, is there any that land on the miracle on there?

  • I've seen it once and it was really cool, two cars swerved around the 'main' car and it lands on miracle. I havn't seen it uploaded though, and have only seen it once. That's probably part of the magic of those ads too, even we don't know what'll happen in the ads.

  • At the end there is a subliminal message! After it says " Intersections - Bad calls can be deadly" If you can work out whatever it says, repy plz

  • silver honda jazz, red toyota hiace, red volvo 745 estate, nissan farago silver, silver nissan bluebird, black jaguar/daimler

  • if i saw him i would run him over!!! honestly

  • Why? He rocks!

  • Thats my brother in the ad so I hope you dont

  • @bigkiwimike That's awesome. Get him here to post. What is he? Actor or stuntman?

  • @wuzzlevideos He is an actor and musician. He has some good albums on itunes. Look for David Austin

  • It's on TV 24/7!!!! So scary!!!

Hey do you know what the music is called?

  • Comment removed

  • I know the girl that wrote this ad. She reckons I look a bit like K.D Lang. In fact she thinks I look ALOT like K.D Lang.

  • I love the new ad of this that is on tv at the moment, the man is sitting in the rain, the music has been slowed down, he's on top of the bridge. Ahh very freaky.

  • The one that hardly comes on is the Miracle one... Ive only seen that one 3 times

  • True, I have only seen it twice since the campaign started - and it is not available on the LTNZ website.

  • I guess that's the message they're trying to get across: That miracles near-never happen.

  • well i never seen the miracle ones!

  • @RonnieTalamaivao ... it took... so long... to find it...

pjyoung(.)co(.)uk/ just take out the parenthesis. scroll down to the section that says "FILM" and its the last one there. you're welcome c:

  • If you listen close enough at the end then you can hear a subliminal message

  • Whats the message?

  • drive carefully i guess

  • Wow I love the new version of this ad with the tagline "Intersections, it's your call." I think they're a good ad, I work in insurance and failure to give way have resulted in some pretty horrific accidents I've seen.

The new one so you know Wuzzle, is a whole bunch of intersections that this one guy comes up to and the creepy guy is just there. Sitting in the rain, 3 in a row, some up on a motorway overpass. It ends with the guy putting his hand on the wheel to spin it. I love it.

  • I just saw that the other day and it freaked the hell out of me. O_o Finally! Some genuinely scary LTSA ads!

  • our typical reaction - get on youtube to see if its uploaded so we can share it with our non kiwi friends!

  • There was a stunt driver in the primera and he got hurt bad. He was driving from the rear left seat and the stunt cordinator people put cuts in the Jags chassis (and loaded the rear with sand to give it more weight) so it would collapse and even at at 1/3 stregth the jag wasted the primera and he went to hospital.

  • Wow, is this true? How did you know this?

  • I was talking to the guy that delivered the cars for the ad. He operated the crane truck that picked up the cars after they were crashed. I heard about some of the other mishaps during those safety campaign ads as well.

  • Yes I remember that and there was a story on Close Up about it.

  • Very true.

  • They should put real 'spinning wheels' on real intersections, and that will scare the shit out of bad drivers

  • the guy has actually been out on intersections from what i've heard. it was a similar campaign to when they had "Death" with a sickle on highways.

  • I saw the miracle one too. but if you look closely you'll see that its really tiny on the wheel!

  • i'm looking for the one where it lands on 'miracle', i only ever saw it once

  • @supertrinko ... it took... so long... to find it...

pjyoung(.)co(.)uk/ just take out the parenthesis. scroll down to the section that says "FILM" and its the last one there. you're welcome c:

  • hey look, its burney from invercargill

  • The slogan should be "Accelerate through the crash"

  • This is a great advertisement for Jaguar, the Jag smashed that Nissan. Buy a Jag!

  • Indeed it did! I was going to correct you saying its a Merc not a Nissan, but on second look yes indeed the Nissan follows the Merc through and gets cream for his trouble

  • this ad is brilliant. when i first saw it i got so creeped out, but i find it effective.

  • 0:43

    click...boom

  • best add on tv

  • If I type 0:35 will it make a link?

  • That is so cool

  • Comment removed

  • the car up front at 0:29 is a Mitsuoka!! rare...

  • Has anyone else seen the 'miracle' version of this ad, where there is no crash? I have only seen it once, and it's not on the LTSA website. Neither is the 'near miss' version where the guy is pulled over afterwards.

  • Woah I had no idea there were other versions. Can anyone find them!?

  • i thought i was going mad when i saw the alternative ending months ago but they're started playing it a bit more regularly now.

  • Here it is.

    /watch?v=9mzIaIHN4Ss

  • @wuzzlevideos ... it took... so long... to find it...

pjyoung(.)co(.)uk/ just take out the parenthesis. scroll down to the section that says "FILM" and its the last one there. i was so happy when i found it i almost cried XD

  • yeah i have and am trying to find it. its like they just took it off the air or something.

  • The miracle version was on TV1 just a few minutes ago, so it's still on air, just not common.

  • ive seen it once, id like to see it again as that exact thing happened to me while i was driving a truck and trailer, a policeman saw it happened and apparently she received $600 worth of fines, her passenger was lucky I was alert and stopped in time. sadly the freight broke its locking bars and we had to restack 6tonne of fzn veges back onto pallets

  • Yea, I've only seen it on tv a couple of times, seems to be very rare!

    I love it though.

  • I love this one. The voices right at the end are pure nightmare fodder.

And is it just me or is "bad call" LTNZ's current campaign motto or something? It's not the only time I've seen it in one of their ads. Personally I hate it because it always sounds so forced.

  • It's their tagline for fucking up at junctions :)

  • And putting your wife's earring in your pocket.

  • I say putting your wifes ear-ring in your pocket with the intention to use as a fishing lure is not a bad call but rather asking for it. :)

  • This gave my 5-year-old sister nightmares...for like a month...creepy stuff

    Heeby-jeebies are the word ?

What about those fucking annoying radio adds ?

'Drive to the conditions when they change reduce your speed' ?...omg I hate them

  • Wickedly sweet-- I always have this particular ad, playing within my mind. when I'm in a car and we near an intersection. It portrays a deeply powerful message. I find it amusing how the 'miracle' section is really minuscule. Overall, I love the shock factor it overall gives.

  • if u look carefully at the end () theres a little white MIRACLE between a red one and DEATH!!! look carefully!!

  • I thik thay are going to put those billbords in nothcote auckland,To me WERID..... because to musch look at that than the road

  • this ad is great. very hard hitting

  • This Ad Creeps Me Out.....

  • Me too

    The music is creepy.

  • That voice, what is it? Or should that be who is it? That isnt there on the one shown on TV, im sure of it...

    As for this ad, I find the guy scary, I mean, I know this ad is effective and everything but that guy, the wheel, the whole spooky factor, it just scares me a bit. When I first saw this ad for the first time, when it showed him at the end, after the police logo, I was SO waiting for the guys head to be a skull... XD;

  • Perhaps it's not really audible on TV, quality of speakers etc? Method of transmission? I'm not sure, just throwing out ideas. Maybe it's an edited version also. Do you see the bit after the caption on TV but just don't hear it, or does it stop at the caption?

  • The voice is actually there on the ad, its just very VERY low, I can never pick up what its saying but its like a kind of muttering. It caught me out at first until I realised it was someone talking =P

  • If you find him scary (I find the whole ad scary) then it's doing it's job. Hurray terror I think...Lol.

  • Awesome ad! Very spooky, very effective! I would love to see more ads with the "Wheel of death".

On another note the Commonwealth Realms sure know how to make effective ads. Between this, those TAC ads, the THINK! ads, and even the Canadian work ads("There really are no accidents")you guys have the coolest ads ever.

It's too bad The States don't make such ads(probably because the "Nanny Police" would have a fit if such ads appeared) because we would have less accidents on the road or at work

  • All right, New Zealand YouTubers and wuzzlevideos. Name on of these cars. Reply back for the answers.

    #1, 0:07

    #2, 0:17 (red van)

    #3, 0:19

    #4, 0:29 (don't know)

    #5, 0:44 (silver car)

    and (black car)

    REPLY THOSE BACK!

  • Great idea, but I can't play, I'm from the UK and have no idea what these cars are :)

  • 1: Honda Jazz?

    2: Hiace?

    3: Volvo something

    4: I think it's a Nissan something

    5: Nissan Laurel/Toyota Cedric? and Jaguar XJ/Sovereign?

  • Wonderful point! Illegaly crossing an intersection is similar to spinning that wheel.

  • This is an effective ad! Its better than all of those stupid blood/gore ones!! This one actually creeped me out.

  • I freaking love this ad so much, I watch it every time it comes on. The music is so creepy, as is the dude turning the wheel.

  • this ad is very well done. it isnt cheesy or unintentionally funny either.

  • I haven't seen the near miss one with the police car, but I have seen -part of- the miracle one. Yes, it lands on miracle, different music too which is what made me look at the tv, and two cars from opposite directions spin out as one car goes through the intersection, looks amazing, but can't find it anywhere. And it was about a week ago I saw it too.

  • I don't suppose you have the alternative ending one?

  • As far as I know this is the only one? There is only this for download on the LTNZ site.

  • It's only been shown in the last week, instead of flicking over to death, it is a near miss and a police car passes and then turns to chase the vehicle. I checked LTNZ as well, and it's not there.

That voice is definitely not on the one shown on television here.

  • That weird voice at 57 secs creeps me out! Wtf does it say!?

  • I think it says something like "yeah, it wasn't worth it, i knew it wasn't worth it" - kinda fits in context, doesn't it? :)

  • This is a great ad. It definately gets the point across. I love the music - it really adds to the point.

I see someone described the music as calliope music, but does anyone know what the actual piece is called and who did it?

  • I have no idea I'm afraid, there were no other credits on the download page about the ad.

  • This is the best ad I have seen in forty years of televison for car safety...it is incredible how well the point is made that a poor discision at an intersection can easily kill you... the director of this commercial should win a nation ( if not internation ) award for creativity in commercial making.

  • I love this ad

  • I love this ad, i stop to watch it every time.

  • another powerful PSA,Wuzzle....keep 'em coming.

  • Damn skippy, that's good.

  • I found this ad rather creepy.

    but it was very effective.

  • BTW Wuzzle thanks for uploading another vid. I love watching these. PSAs and awareness campaigns are sometimes like watching really good shorts. :)

  • Wow. That was effictively creepy.

I'll think I'll actually take that with me to intersections :(

  • Nice one. The calliope music alone is enough to set my teeth on edge.

  • Yeah, I was wondering what it was. That's the word I couldn't remember :)

  • Pretty brutal, that.
