We miss Pat at Penn State and respect him greatly. I hope he has a strong year (or two) at Delaware and then moves on and is a star in the NFL. Daryll and Pat are both excellent quarterbacks and excellent people, and I hope they both continue to experience great success.

I'm a big PENN STATE fan. I've been totally engrossed in the PSU vs. USC Rose Bowl bid. All I do is sit around & watch bowl hype for just a glimpse of what's to come; be it on ESPN or The BIG TEN Network. If I'm not mistaken, Devlin is a sophomore right now, and would have two years as a starter. And there's a good chance that Devlin and Clark would be a 2 QB system like what we had with Richardson and McQueary in 1996.

um, ya. I'm not a PSU fan, and i'm not a Pitt fan. i don't really pay any attention. but Devlin did go to my high school and I know that Delaware is in need of a QB.

Paterno has been head coach long enough to know that if he wants to keep Devlin on the team, he's gonna have to play him more. Devlin wanted to play, and a friend of his from Delaware suggested to come over. Devlin's gonna do great. He could make pro's. Look at Joe Flacco of the Ravens, he played 4 Delaware and now he's in the Pros

Clark won the job, and Devlin should have lived with that and made the best of it. His timing and the way he handled leaving PSU sucked and was self-serving and selfish. He's not ruined yet. That's why he's opting out. As Nittany Lions fans we're only hurting because we won't have his talent to back up in Pasadena and he would've been franchise (as franchise as a college athlete can be anyway) his Senior year; his only starting year after Clark's departure. He made the right move and no one is extremely hurt by this. THERE IS NO CONTROVERSY. DON'T DIG FOR ONE. This isn't Mike McQueary and Wally Richardson. Joe Paterno isn't looking for another 2 QB system.
