If you will slow your tapping down instead of trying to rush it, your subconscious will learn the muscle memory and you will soon be able to play it that fast smoothly and perfectly.. by rushing it you are teaching yourself some bad muscle memory that is going to be difficult to break later on.. get it engrained into your hands first, to make the proper movements exactly, then you can play it as fast as you wish. YOU ARE AWESOME THOUGH!!!!

Don't hide the guitar faces. You gotta let things flow naturally and with conviction or it's going to sound dry and mechanical.

Sounds like you're using a digital amp because there's no warmth to the distortion. Look into the ENGL Thunder or Screamer combos. Good metal sounds several hundred dollars less than a good Marshall combo.

I recommend you practice at least two hours a day, but if you want to break it up into four half hour or two one hour sessions that could work Keep at it.

hi michele,

good cover of eruption. it is know surprise your wrist hurts; you must have put a lot of time and practice into getting it right. word of advice: dont do long practice sessions. instead practice 10-15 minute sessions. most important warm up slowly and be patient.you can actually practice by going through the finger motions slowly above each string but dont actually press them. the purpose of this is to maintain finger memory while also giving your hand a rest. good luck be well

Just a tip: The good old Eddie used 0.08-0.09 strings and the guitar tuned flat to play this (And others) solo.
