@QcPride Indeed. Acceleration is greatly effected by it. At a certain RPM (around 4,000 rpm), vtec kicks in. (Thats where phrase making fun of ricers "Vtec just kicked in yo!!1!11!!1 comes from). When vtec kicks in, it enables a mechanism which switches cam lobes (what times the intake valves) to a bigger lobe, holding the intake valves open for a greater amount of time. This allows a greater intake of air into the cylinder, creating greater combustion in the cylinder=more torque foracceleration
