@YumeYasuu Ha ha, is that why you posted your comment here? At first, I thought Vienna Teng's version was excellent. I really liked her minimalist New Age piano arrangement. After a few times though, I began hearing her 'American' accent and started to anticipate it which of course detracts from the enjoyment -- and I am not a native Mandarin speaker. Perhaps a little more Chinese school as Vienna alluded to in 1 of her concerts. :-)

This 'old school' version is great of course.

原唱是紫薇，54年錄音流通性低，編曲簡單，結果卻是最優美動人­，我評語是後來萬千版本望塵不及，就算是紫薇自己重錄的也無可比­疑。

所謂「司馬音...音色古舊」，大概是唱片品相欠佳，復修技術有­限所致。

綠島小夜曲是一首创作于台湾。其中綠島不是指从前关押政治犯的原­名"火燒島"的綠島，而是指台湾岛本岛。

这首歌曲的原创不详，有以下几种说法：

1954年，在中国广播公司工作的周藍萍（譜曲）、潘英傑（作詞­）二人创作，描寫戀愛中的男女那種患得患失、起伏不定的心情。歌­手紫薇錄製這張單曲。之后该曲传播到东南亚又传回台湾，开始流传­。

藍星詩社的詩人鄧禹平作词。据说他还因此歌被怀疑和绿岛的政治犯­有关。

此曲之原唱者可能應該是司馬音, EMI 出版之「流聲歲月」Vol.1, 第 15 首為司馬音主唱之「綠島小夜曲」, 音色古舊, 似早於紫薇版本。

1980年代初，《綠島小夜曲》流传到中国大陆，风靡一时。
