Other than the availability of an Android OS edition and TV snap-on unit for the Archos 5, there is no difference bar the screen size.

@gokhanca just 1 bit of advice for you,, when an update is available do not install it because youtube will stop working in your browser and archos will say there's no solution, i downloaded it and found out the hard way, and i never really saw any improvements with the update anyway. So keep that in mind there's been lots of people complaining about it. Hope u enjoy your archos, it truly is a brilliant pmp

To a certain extent, it can play emulated games. This is via Flash-based emulators or web-based emulators.

Yes, it can play RMVB files, however a paid plugin is required.

It is conceivable that the Flash player could be upgraded in future firmware releases.

If you are willing to pay the $550 for the Archos 9, I'd suggest waiting for that, as it has far superior specifications, runs Windows 7, and has a larger screen.

If you feel you must purchase one now, I'd definitely suggest the Archos 7.
