when michael was diagnosed with vitiligo and his body began to lose skin color, he chose to proceed with depigmentation which is 1 way to deal with vitiligo. he did it since it was the only way one he could have an even skin tone especially since he was in the public eye not because he hated being black (like all the ignorant people state). So if he were alive this would not work since depigmentation is irreversible.

I've heard this too. But michael jackson can't be changed back because he got his skin completely dyed because it was bothering him. So it's not vitiligo that has turned him completely white. If he didn't dye his skin he would just have white patches.

I was under the impression that MJ depigmented. That means that he had the remaining pigment removed. They have a cream that you can put on that will kill the remaining melanin in your skin. If there is a dye then one would think they would have it in different shades so you could just fill in your spots.
