Don't give this girl any sympathy, she chose to go to military school, she chose to be apart of the drill team, and they get inspected.

When they do they are shown their discrepancies and marked down, Marines (especially drill instructors) pride themselves on their uniforms and hate when others wear their uniforms with such disrespect as to not take the time to clean their weapon, take care of their uniform, or show a lack of intensity towards such an event.

@Rich8951 Ok let me see how I can put this as simple as possible... The reason for the yelling and screaming is that it creates stress. In basic you are yelled at and screamed at from the time you get up and to the time you graduate from basic. Even in the unit you are dropped to you are yelled at and screamed at. If you are taken as a POW you wll be treated even worse than you will ever understand. The yelling helps with not giving in to the enemy.

There is a secret, homosexual undercurrent to the entire Marine Corps. That is what this screaming and exaggerated toughness is all about. Oh man, Sgt. Borjon. I can't believe he became an SDI. I knew this guy back in summer of 2009. His drill commands sucked. He didn't know the difference between a column right and a right oblique. SDI SSgt. Hodges was teaching him and it was the funniest shit. Best thing though was in the chow hall. He told a kid regular Cheerios, not the honey nut, was unhealthy. After he told the kid regular Cheerios was unhealthy he told him to get Chocolate Rice Krispies.

@JawsFan27 Shit happens... He's a great runner and had a good PFT so that probably helped. He actually showed some compassion for the recruits so maybe that helped even more. They could probably tell he wanted to train. DIs do it for two reasons, to fuck with recruits or to train Marines and make sure the Corps doesn't have shitbirds. I know they're supposed to learn close order drill commands during DI school so I don't know how he graduated from DI school.

I competed in this drill meet in AFJROTC (had to been about 1987). I had one of these Marine Sergeants come right up to my face and he said, "Good morning, cadet." I YELLED (as I was told to do), "Good morning, Sir!!!" He immediately deflates me by saying, "You don't have to yell--I'm standing right in front of you." Competition was a blast. One of the very few things I miss about my high school days.
