@SheWolf8765 This is the original Star Trek series (often referred to as TOS for "The Original Series," on the air between 1965 and 1969. Not sure where it is in The Vast Wasteland now. You could watch episodes here once upon a time; and of course DVD/Netflix can come to the rescue otherwise.

And as you can see, the pinches delivered by Tuvok and T'Pol and their ilk don't hold a candle to the super-sexy original.

But of course, this takes years of martial art experience and can not be used whenever you want, as it takes concentration to find the right nerves to touch. The point is you will never be able to use it in a fight, because you don't have the time and skill for it.

@dgmpepper8 not true! ^^ if you are in luck and you do it on a right person, and if the pressure is hold long enough, and if you press at the right place... you can pressure sinus caroticus, which contains baroreceptors (pressure sensors) that when stimulated, will cause a reflex slowing of the heart, vasodilation and a fall in blood pressure. fall in blood pressure means also less oxygen to your brain and if brain lacks oxygen for like 4-6 seconds it will cause loss of consciousness.

yes you can do that in real life, theres a pressure point near the collar bone where you press, and itll disable someone, or you can do it the combat way, where your holding them in a headlock and using ur elbow to press on it, the military use it and then teach it to you

This is (educated guess) because the mechanism largely relies on Vulcan telepathic ability, not just physical impact/pressure as with martial arts.

It's easier to simply strike it really hard, but if pinched (or pressed rather) with enough force, the target will pass out. This is not fatal, however victims with heart conditions or very very low fortitude who are struck with an EXTREME of excessive force may perish.

3) Spock puts out Scotty as he's trying to talk to one persuasive lass over the comm (and I can't remember the episode). You catch another Scotty I'd forgotten.
