I think Charlie sees a young boy in Stella and this turns her on. The wife-beater certainly plays up that image. I for one never understood the appeal of that shirt. It brings to mind some bald old grandfather, sitting in an armchair wearing worn boxer shorts, a ratty old flannal robe, black socks, pale skin, big fat bear belly and long nose and ear hair--sleeping in front of the TV with a can of cheap beer still in his hand. Why does that shirt hold so much appeal for lesbians?

Never in my life have I seen such an unlikely couple. There is NO chemistry whatsoever. Bleh. When are the VL writers going to see that Stella and Carla together makes much more sense? For crying out loud..
The good news is that Constantin von Lahnstein ( Milan Marcus ) comes back to the series ( 27.07.09 ) but it's sad that Tanja ( Miriam Lahnstein ), Gregor ( Andreas Jancke ) and Carla are leaving VL in about seven months. Rumours say that Gregor will die because of an helicopter crash. But maybe that's not true.
Also Andy Fritzsche ( Dominic Saleh-Zaki ) could return to the series.

During the past couple of years they became a part of my living room decoration every evening, and I don't like redecorating! They are so talented, I will certainly miss them. I hazard a guess of about 30 years (Elizabeth and Charlie are at least close to 60; Stella in her early 30s?) . There's no equality in this relationship . . . Charlie always has the upper hand. She's nice, but she's no lesbian and not right for Stella. JMO

Charlie says to let her do it. Stella thanks Charlie for helping her cook and says that the oven will finish the job off. Stella says that she will walk Charlie out. Charlie says that she would like to see the end result and suggests that they have a drink whilst they wait. Stella says 'damn it Charlie, first you pay 10,000 euro for me, then you run away, then you show up here and say that you've changed your mind'.
Charlie says 'flour, eggs, milk...lets make a cake together'. (This is a strange song to go along with it...'I think about the day that you're going to die'!!). Stella says that the cake will need to come out soon otherwise there'll be nothing left of it. Charlie tells her not to be so impatient. Stella says 'it's hot here' (it sure is Stella!). Charlie says that Stella has flour on her forehead and that it looks good on her.
The song going along with the scene fits quite well because it's about loving an older woman (or a woman whose persective on life is already different because of her experiences)
It's about the problems a relationship like this might bring along, when two different worlds are clashing.

Charlie apologises to Stella for her behaviour earlier. Stella asks what they want to do for the evening and suggests a meal at Schneiders. Charlie says that she didn't pay all that money to spend an evening in Schneiders. Charlie asks her if she has any other plans. Stella says that she was wanting to make a test cake for her birthday which is the following week (I vote for more Stella in white tank tops...mmmm:-)).
Charlie explains to Elizabeth that she won Stella in an auction and asks if Elizabeth will give her the afternoon off. Stella says that the auction was for a good cause. Elizabeth says that she presumed that...and that she doesn't need to understand everything. Elizabeth gives Stella the afternoon off and tells Charlie that the next time she comes to visit it has to be to see her. Charlie promises that she will.
Charlie says that she is actually here to talk to Stella. Stella says that she thought they had talked and that everything was clear. Charlie says that she thought before the time was up, that she would 'cash in' her win if that was ok. Elizabeth says 'you won something'. Charlie explains that it was more of an auction. Stella tells Charlie that she is in the middle of a conversation and that the work doesn't get done on it's own.
Stella says that it is amazing that they received them within a couple of weeks. Elizabeth says that having a title is a plus sometimes. Stella asks Elizabeth that the next time she is visiting Carla to pass on Stella's greetings to her. Elizabeth says that she will and that she knows that will make Carla happy. Elizabeth says to Charlie how nice it is to see her and that it's a long time since she came to visit her at the castle.
Charlie asks Olivia if she really needed to put off David in that way. Olivia says 'poor David' and asks Charlie what is with 'poor Stella'. Charlie tells her that that is something different. Olivia says that Charlie treated Stella the same way Olivia treated David. Elizabeth comments on how happy she is that the cutlery has arrived as there is a waiting list of 2 years (clearly you can see how troubled Elizabeth is about Carla being in prison!!).
Charlie tells her that it is more important with whom you do something rather than what you do. Olivia agrees and says that under normal circumstances she would never look at a guy like David. Charlie tells her not to be a kill joy and that David had paid for her. David asks Olivia if he can buy her a drink. Olivia tells him that she an international model and that he can forget the date. David says that he hoped for a nice day. Olivia says it's his own fault.
Stella says 'sure'. Charlie says that she can't leave her restaurant alone all day. Stella says that she is right and that she also needs to go to work. Olivia complains to Charlie that the hired help, David couldn't even pay 100euro for her. Olivia wishes that someone with more money, like a lawyer like Sebastian would have bet on her. Olivia goes on about if someone had money had bet on her that they would go to an expensive restaurant or on a yacht.
Ollie is still offering up Olivia for a date and he asks if anyone will pay 100euro. David offers 97euro and Ollie accepts the bid. Ollie says that date with the model goes to David for 97euro. Judith tells him that he is stupid. Stella asks Charlie what she wants to do with her for the 10,000euro that she paid for her. Charlie says that they don't have to take the idea that seriously and that Charlie had paid the money because it was for a good cause.
I hope the next scene would be two of them in the morning in the same bed :) But that's just me and my wild imagination and pushing things too quick. If I were Stella, I'd never let Charlie run away ever again :)
Ok, so with Carla we get like a nanosecond kiss with hand/hair and bad camera angle, and with these two it's like a lifetime...all the right angles.....WHAT????
Charlie tells her that it wasn't personal. Marianne tells her not to worry and that she is always happy when someone finds themselves....or more to the point when someone comes out of themselves. Marianne says that 10,000 euro for a date with an attractive woman...that that is not something a hetro woman would do. Christian tells Charlie to have fun with her win and that he hopes it will be worth it.
I think this was more of a possessive / competitive streak showing in Charlie. She has grown accustomed to feeding on Stella's adoration, and doesn't want to lose that. Plus, I'm not sure how the German economy works, but $10,000 U.S. equals a nice tax deduction for a business proprietor who donates to a charitable organization.
David says that Judith see Olivia differently than he does. Stella tells Charlie that she's crazy for betting 10,000 euro. Charlie says what would the world be without craziness but says that Stella is worth every cent. Christian tells Charlie that it's time for her to pay up for her 'date' and tells her to hand over the credit card. Charlie tells Stella that she'll be back shortly. Marianne wishes Charlie the best.
Yeah, Marianne is right, sounds like, Charlie plays with her heart and her mind, push Stella away, avoid her on and off , even those she told everyone she straight and now this she actually kiss her... (rolling eyes)

Stella says that the cake will need to come out soon otherwise there'll be nothing left of it. Charlie tells her not to be so impatient. Stella says 'it's hot here' (it sure is Stella!). Charlie says that Stella has flour on her forehead and that it looks good on her.

Charlie says that she didn't pay all that money to spend an evening in Schneiders. Charlie asks her if she has any other plans. Stella says that she was wanting to make a test cake for her birthday which is the following week (I vote for more Stella in white tank tops...mmmm:-)).

Charlie says that she thought before the time was up, that she would 'cash in' her win if that was ok. Elizabeth says 'you won something'. Charlie explains that it was more of an auction. Stella tells Charlie that she is in the middle of a conversation and that the work doesn't get done on it's own.

I think this was more of a possessive / competitive streak showing in Charlie. She has grown accustomed to feeding on Stella's adoration, and doesn't want to lose that. Plus, I'm not sure how the German economy works, but $10,000 U.S. equals a nice tax deduction for a business proprietor who donates to a charitable organization.
