snatching in reverse never good either however did the strap break or the tow point pull out ?

CHain as a snatch strap thank god they didn't have one handy.

Winching would have been safer but no winch on either jeloppy?

why snatch I prefer to winch its safer in the long run and less styressful on both vehicles

Being a snatch strap, not a tow rope, you should really get a run-up, then try agian.

If you put a towel over the middle of the strap it will "muffle" the recoil if it snaps.

Never stand that close, these have killed poeple.

Kinetic recovery straps have a life span. Just sitting in the back of your 4wd will reduce its life.

sucks. i hate when that happens, my boy was gettin snached in his 94 chevy 1500 and someone snached him and the towrope snapped and got the end on his truck poped back and cracked through the plastic on his grill and i had to rip it out
