i had a similar experience returning from lisbon to rome. the TAP company plane landed badly, bumped, did some insane zig-zag tilting sidewards so much that i thought we were near to crush one or both wings on the ground or crash the gears, everybody was screaming then it straighted its course but SLAM! the pilot decided all of a sudden to apply full force to the brakes showing us the utility of safety belts and finally stopped. when over, us passengers rewarded the pilot with a big applause.
