  • WTF kind of song is "tying your shoes"? It's not like the other end title songs in previous Don Bluth flicks.

  • I Honestly Don't Care What Nostalgia Critic Says About This Film! This Is One of Don Bluth's BEST WORK!!! Everything from the Art Direction, The Story, The Characters and The Amazing Soundtrack are what really makes this film extra special in my eyes, I don't really see how this film has a bad reception! If anything, I view this film as being a complete work of art and I'm sure many fans of this would agree! There are not many films like Rock-a-Doodle and there probably never will be, It Rocks!

  • I don't get why Rock-A-Doodle got such bad reviews. From the clips I've seen, it looks awesome. I think they wanted to bash Don Bluth's movies back in the 90's because Disney was having their renaissance back then.

  • Who's that guy at the very end of the video?

  • Forget my last comment. I found out through a great website about Don Bluth that the score was composed by Robert Folk.

  • Does anyone know who wrote the musical score to this film? I like the end credits score that occurs after "Tyin' Your Shoes", and was just wondering because I missed them in the end credits on my first viewing. Thanks! :)

  • Thanks for helping me to relive my childhood :-)

  • I always loved the music that went with the credits. Thank you for posting this!

  • That is a good movie!

  • 2.21

Mark Byrne in character clean up artists. He teaches me layout and design on my animation course in Dublin.

  • I remember this movie when I was like 8 or 9 years old. I also liked the 2 American Tale movies (with Fivel the mouse).

I would say this movie is also in league with "We're Back" or whatever it was with the dinosaurs.

  • Now Cartoon Network used to be a channel that shows vintage non-disney cartoons until it became a rip-off of Nickelodeon by starting with Dexter's Laboratory.

  • This movie had some great music in it.

  • I love the Grand Duke of Owls!!

  • I hate that climax! That poor baby owl. Why didn't Mr Bluth just kill him when he was that tornado?

And what's wrong with those other owls, they did nothing but watching what their boss did. Are Chanticleer & the Duke some kind of gladiators? =(

  • Mr. Bluth should've made him a reformed villain.

  • @hugh0221 Sorry, we can't kill the Duke. If he dies, we have no Pooh Adventures with him, and if we have no Pooh Adventures with him, it's hardly a quest, merely Pooh's gang roaming the world.

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE!

thanks for putting it up : )

  • WTF HAPPENED 2 U MR. BLUTH?

  • Don is still planning new projects in his 7th decade, asking his passionate animation fans the most provoking questions, and still at it with being a traditional classic animation artist!

  • Wow, look at some of those song names starting at 3:51.

    "Bouncers" Theme song.

"Tweedle Te Dee" (Epic song BTW)

    "The Owls picnic"

  • Chee, what happened to Don Bluth's brain in the 90s

  • Tyin' your shoes

Tyin' your shoe shoe bah doo bah, shoebah

    Tyin' your shoes

Tyin' your shoe shoe bah doo bah

    Tyin' your shoes

  • This old dog

    Has paid his dues

But I can still learn a new trick or two

'Cause I've been over, around, under and through (Tyin' your shoes)

Life is just like tyin' your shoes

  • Now half the world is singin' the blues (Singin' the blues)

But I've learned if you laugh you've got nothing to lose

Cause I've been over, around, under and through (Tyin' your shoes)

Life is just like tyin' your shoes

  • Now when you try (When you try)

    Something new (Something new)

Now, you're bound to make mistakes (You'll make mistakes)

    Hey, but, no use cryin'

    Just keep on tryin'

Soon you'll find it's a piece of cake

  • (Tyin' your shoes) Kid, you're never too old to learn (Tyin' your shoes) Now I's really old And I's all ready to burn, you see 'Cause I've been over, around, under and through Life is just like tyin' your shoes 'Cause I've been over, around, under and through Life is just like tyin' your shoes Life is just like tyin' your shoes (Tyin' your shoes) Yeah, just like tyin' your shoes (Tyin' your shoes) Life is just like tyin' your shoes
  • Doo bah doo bah shoe bah doo bah

    Tyin' your shoes

  • Even though his song was only played during the end credits, it's very satisfying to know that Phil Harris got to sing in this, his last film role.

  • You know, this movie was cut for a G-rating. If the "skunk pie" part was still in, "Rock-A-Doodle" would get a PG.

  • The showing of the "skunk pie" would have scared little children anyway.

  • this brings back memories!

  • Has Rock-A-Doodle been seen on Cartoon Network?

  • It's somewhat odd that this movie has such a long credit scroll; it was actually longer by about 2-3 extra minutes in the theatrical screening, but the last two portions were sped up on the initial VHS release, cutting out a good portion of the beautiful music that plays. The recent DVD release I saw has the credits unaltered, which, up until then, could only be seen on occasional TV broadcasts of the film.

  • There was three sets of credits for this one movie?

  • my favorite movie from my childhood

  • Pretty good, American Tail was better thou >=)

  • I'll have to disagree with you on that american tail had 3 sequals this is too good to have a sequal it would suck ass if this had a sequal but still I really like american tail thats one of my favorite Don bluth films at least in the top 3 list rock a doodle the land before time and american tail.

  • One of my favorites! ^_^

  • The heck was that at the very end, that Bruce Lee movie starring Robin Shou?

  • DOOOOOOOY SHOU!

  • that was Jason Scott Lee in Dragon the Bruce Lee Story

  • This bring back memories 4 realz!

  • this is one of my favorite movies : D

  • I haven't seen this in years!

    Excellent post!!!

  • Thank you, for putting this up. I haven't seen it since I was a little girl, and it's wonderful to find it again ^^

  • Dear Sir or Madam. I hadn't seen this movie since it was released on video in the early 90s. Thank you for the wonderful opportunity to watch it again. Only rented it once, but it was just that memorable. Thanks again.

  • Hey, needlenose, can you please upload the 1989 Don Bluth film All Dogs Go to Heaven?

  • OR MAYBE the pebble and the penguin??? please if anyone has it PLEASE post it on!!!

  • Someone already did "Pebble and the Penguin" now.

  • i knew that like a 3 weeks ago

  • I saw this on the old cartoonnetwork channel. But it was aimed at PG becuz it had some scary parts in this EVEN though its G rated

  • What movie did you say you saw on the old cartoon network, again?

  • My favorite movie with to All Dogs Go To Heaven

  • yep mine too.

  • Mine too, but All Dogs Go to Heaven had some scary parts, too.

  • There was part of a film that was broadcasted on the TV channel AMC at the end.

  • well when i had the movie i remember the goldrest logo instead of the don bluth. that the best part of the credits when that part come up when the screen turns red and the leaf falls. it goes great with music.

  • Now, this is great! But you forgot to include the Goldcrest Films logo.

  • Goldcrest Films logo? Well, there's nothing I could have 'forgotten' because I segmented from the last cel of the last part of the actual movie to the very end of the avi, so if it's missing that's not something that I can fix.

  • Well, I still should be glad that I get to see most of the closing credits! They must be in three "phases", eh?

  • By that, I mean there must be three parts of the credits, with different colors for the background.

  • Well, I've seen a version that ends with the Goldcrest logo...*instead* of that Don Bluth animated logo. So I guess the version you have ends with the "leaf" logo instead...

  • I remember seeing a version where it ended with BOTH the Don Bluth and Goldcrest logos.

  • Now that I think about it, I think the version that needlenose has DID have the Goldcrest logo, except that the file got cut off before the logo appeared.

  • Where did you download this???
