We already confess that we are a sinners the time when we accept Jesus as our Lord Savior. We don't have to do it over and over again. We have to believe that ALL our sins were forgiven, that is from birth to death. Jesus paid our sins more than 2,000 years ago, all our sins were future. If confession would be the basis for God to forgive us, what if you forget to confess just one sin? Our forgiveness is based on the payment of Jesus.
that very verse is for non-believer who wants to accept Jesus. When you accept Jesus you are now qualified to all its benefits, you are made RIGHTEOUS, PERFECT and HOLY forever. We are under GRACE!. But it doesn't mean we continue to sin, Jesus becomes our wisdom, is Jesus our wisdom teach us to sin? All we have to do is thank HIM, from our hearts we Honor, Praise and Worship HIM.
@mitchee8 Yes we must bring our daily sins to Jesus. It isn't a one time shot. Paul says I die 'daily' to Jesus. I don't have to go fishing for the previously confessed & repented of sins,those are in the deepest ocean, white like snow etc. I must keep my relationship with Jesus alive & daily learn, search and recommit until I die. Jesus paid, u r rite but I must grow & doing that means "seeking with all my heart' to represent Him means I must become like Him. By beholding we become changed.
Do not worry - Whatever sins you have commited take them to the Lord , repent of them. God has forgiven all our sins. Do not 'hope'. Just know it is never too late.

God always forgives us, that is his greatest gift to us, Jesus, who took our sins from us when we confess with our mouths and hearts.
