@grimgrimdeath666 Me too! It makes sense, they are from the same era, the same time, the exact same place (Austin, Texas), they were probably friends or at least knew each other in some way. :)
Thats kind of fitting cause where in the Golden Dawn now... No wonder the New World Odor is trying to takeover the food HR 2749 and S. 510... Wake up these songs were messages from the Elite, a gr8 famie is coming soon in AmeriKKKKa!!! Rise UP NoW!!!!
@waynealarsen got most of my records from garage and yard sales. saw this lp at a record store for 40 or 50 bucks a dime the nice price got a rare one in the collection.
Between around 0:58 and 1:01 Tool - 10,000 Days' cover design can be seen, but that's not bad, psychedelia-psychedelia, or even: acid-acid, alright... but 10,000 Days is from 2006, so casting the past somehow failed.
Love a good bit of psych/acid-rock as a 56 year old psych, blues and rock fan. Understand they were heavily influenced by the 13th Floor Elevators and took some flack as a result. Got and dig that recent limited edition Elevators' CD box set "Sign of the 3 Eyed Men" .
@aznskater44 ... Also maybe because the singer, George Kinney, and Roky Erickson were close friends from before grade school on up thru the time of the Elevators! :)
This sounds influenced by The Elevators , but , not LIKE them , as far as I can see....That's not a put down , this is a great album. The Golden Dawn got back together to play the 2008(?) Psych Fest in Austin.I think they just did another show,
i am so fucked up, for 25 years of my life, i have listened to this garage punk psyc mod beat crap, been called a fisfit, nobody i know calls it cool ,lets cange the world put a garage band on x fucking factor. LOVE TO SEE THAT CUNT COWELL SHIT HIS PANTS
well zyling if you knew the difference between the good music like this and emo, rap, hip hop,and hardcorte thenyou would be able to tell if it was from 1969 or 2009.
My husband played guitar for this band. Their album was actually recorded before the 13th Floor Elevators but the 13th FE's was released first. Hence, this one never did as well as it should have. I have several original copies and treasure them. Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Same scene/time period. Or maybe the 13th Floor Elevators sound like the Golden Dawn! (heresy!)
In any case, both bands totally represent for Texas in the 60s. Both bands are worth having in your record collection if you're a rock fan.
