dragon age origins took the place of my favorite game for the ps3, that game was oblivion, that's saying alot, next i'm trying just cause 2. by the way i do agree with the burning map travel, but the story more then made up for any short comings.

I have to say, though the graphics were a little bad, at least it's not incredibly bad. If it were, I wouldn't have played it. Better than Oblivion, in my opinion. I got SO into this game.

the guy on the middle didn't brought up KOTOR or buldar's gate as his facorit RPG. This shows his lack of knowledge of Bioware RPGs and ending up making a wrong comparison. Clearly all three of them haven't even researched about the PC version of the game. PC version has not only superior graphics, but superior gameplay as well. In the PC version there is isometric view that allows players to carefully plan for a battle and level designs that are challenging and well balanced.

This is the best offline RPG out there, aside from Mass Effect. I feel sorry for you kids playing this on a console... PC is the way to go, these guys complain too much.

I play this game NOT for a nice interface and graphics, but because the gameplay regardless of platform is amazing, the replay value is fantastic, and the story is very deep and strong.

You don't have to play games for the nice interface and graphics but it sure as hell makes the game that much more enjoyable. It's a great game - no doubt. I still play games like Starcraft and last time I check, it doesn't have amazing graphics but all it is, is convenient. I personally have no interest in consoles, games are just too expensive and console hardware is too restrictive. In other words, they're for nothing but gaming... and with many disadvantages compared to PC.

What the hell the Graphics was awsome I didint find any problem with it... (I Played on PC) and i think the combat system Rocked in the PC verson but i'v heard the Console verson is much different

The only difference is the console version has a radial menu similar to Mass Effect since you can only bind up to 3 abilities on your controller, and the console version doesn't have the tactical top-down view. Other than that, the gameplay is identical. FWIW, I have heard people say it feels more clunky on consoles due to the control scheme.

^^ play the PC version, Xbox and PS3 versions have crappy graphics because the consoles can't handle all the detail. U need ofc a good dual core processor and at least a Geforce 9800 GT with 2- 4 gigs of ram to make it fluent enough onextreme high graphics. Plus with a dual core processor and more ram load screens almost disappear. I have 2 gigs and 1 core processor and loading screns take 10- 20 seconds max

you r totally right. they only wanted to bang this game. they just took things that any sensible person would just brush off and they made it sound like a HUGE deal. plus they obviously only played the xbox version. on the ps3 version i felt that the graphics were BREATHTAKING and not to start a fanboy fight but ive heard from multiple sources that the ps3 version has better graphics and MUCH shorter loading times. AND HOW COULD THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT THE COMBAT???!!!!! oh yeah cuz they're douches

an the PC version is better still. This game is a PC game that they basically ported to the consoles. Try it on PC. You won't regret it.

it's a shame the reviewers are basing on the graphics and supposedly bad combat mechanics all the time, when the pc version doesn't have these issues.

if there's a game that's out on ps3 and ps2, would you review the ps2 version of it and then bash it because of it's graphics? sry, but that's just stupid.

be happy there's a console version at all, even if it's dumbed down compared to the pc version. if it weren't for the console players, we would have gotten an even deeper game.

interesting.On the issue with the 'load/map screen'. i think it is more true to the BG series. I personally would find it a pain-considering all the missions you get and running around from here to there.But i do see your point on that. like load screens when going through doors in town etc.

On the graphics.i agree, i think it is because they've worked on it for what 5 years? back then the graphics got the 'ok'- & then they were stuck with it.

A PC experience would be much better. cool review
