that was probably the only mass market somewhat healthy shampoo back then besides the usual balsam protein shampoos. most of them were just pure chemical, coloring and relied on fragrance to pitch the idea it had some botanicals. almost none of them did in comparison to today. clairol herbal back then? none. it was no different than using dishwashing detergent. very harsh and cheap, way worse than today.

the only halfway good shampoos back then you would have to go to a health food store.
