I saw them open for Bad Religion, and I didn't really like them, but seeing them pay homage to The Misfits—my favorite band—and remembering how charismatic they were and how much they interacted with the crowd when I saw them, they definitely deserve respect.

The whole point is to make an older song new again, that said it shouldn't necessarily be a complete copy, however it should at least SOUND like the original! Here are some good covers: The Offspring's "I Wanna be Sedated" and Green Day's "Outsider".

@TheKrowProductions radically different can work.. like Mindless Self Indulgence version on RUSH's "Tom Sawyer" that I liked but nothing is ever quite as good as the original, in this case I personally feel it's not even close. When I think of the Misfits' music I think of badass, fast tempo, blood pumping awesomeness. When all of that is drained out of it... it just seems lifeless. All the things that made the original so beautiful and made it stand out is gone. That's why I get a little upset.
