I got it I had to copy the data folder from playonline and paste it in the ffxi folder but I'm having a lot of problems with the game the mobs don't use any abilities so playing BLU is not a option you can't SMN spells and the weapon skills don't all ways show up

I got everything working I just can't make a player every time I try it tells me the gold pass is invalid

@HypesShadow try changing your characters name a few times. eventually a name will register.

.50 second spells casts are for the win .10 recasts are even more win. I think today I'll drop them all to .01 and see how that goes.

Damn pxi has changed a lot since the time I made my videos. btw skillcains didn't work when I used it not sure if that's been fixed but I doubt it.

Is the hard cap still lvl 120?

@upbeatglitch Nah it's 255!!! But the stats are weird once you go past 75. You basically lose your combat and magic skills, meaning you can't see them in the menu under stats. I believe they become capped, but I'm still unsure about that. The STR and CHR stats all rise according I do believe, but your attack goes way way down. I can be pumping out 400+ attack at 75, then raise the cap to 255 and it sinks down to 166. But I think it stays the same...

@upbeatglitch honestly if i could afford it right now, i'd be much happier just paying for the game. wonder what happens when ffxiv goes on the shelves? i've heard rumors, i even heard they may just pull the plug. as unlikely as that seems, i think what they'll do is let someone else host the servers, give them a cut and keep making money off it.

@SuperUnderpantsgnome Yeah, no doubt... Private servers are fun till you find out the fun part about ffxi is gone lol. I highly doubt private servers will go away when ffxiv is released. They've been around waaaaaaaaaay before PXI just very little people knew then. The main PXI is dead already, The servers that are up now is just old builds that people are updating.

I doubt Pservers will die totally anytime soon if ever lol

@upbeatglitch I didn't mean pservers dying, I mean FFXI itself. Just a few more days, until FFXIV goes into open beta. I read somewhere that on "Rapture" which is what they were calling FFXIV's release, they'll drop FFXI. I don't remember where I read this, or if it's even true.

@SuperUnderpantsgnome You read wrong. FFXI will continue to be supported long after FFXIV is released. Akihiko Matsui was appointed the new Director of FFXI just a couple days ago and he's very good at what he does. Matsui does battles and he does them well.

They've said that they'll keep the XI servers up and running until it's just no longer profitable for them to, and continue to release new content until that happens. After all, why would they shut down a game that's been bringing in good revenue for them since its release when they release a new game that might bomb completely? After all, XIV is actually their 4th MMORPG, but their previous two have basically tanked.

@SuperUnderpantsgnome if you go into your database and under the skill cap table u can add lvl 255 and put whatever max skill lvls u want

Another good thing about it, you can use, let's say for instance "Blade: Ku" weapon skill with a Club, or a Staff. I haven't yet tried it with a staff but so far, any weapon skill I use, as long as it's scripted, works. Few of them don't have scripts yet though. As far as I know, Skillchains do not work. They 'may' if someone else is participating, I haven't had the chance to test that yet. I plan to soon, my friend is also testing some stuff out, so we can figure out how we can contribute.

yah the best part is it's free if you use Meteor XI. It bypasses playonline completely and loads up the game. I was going to post more but I've been trying to edit the database to make it seem like the game is more realistic. Unfortuntely there is no more support for this project. There is a lot more that works, like quests and missions. I'm still unsure as to how much content has been added but so far I'm impressed. There are a lot of bugs though, with text from quests, FoV is skrewed...

I played retail for 5 years. I never had a Kraken Club, but I did have most of the gear I have equipped here. Including 6/6 Duelist's +1, 5/5 Warlock's +1, Morrigan's Body, Feet, Hands. So I got bored, unfortunately recently I heard they upped the level cap. I'd play again if it weren't so old, and Square Enix weren't such nazis about the Project XI.
