You can just stand right in front of the area where the case is to break it, not just follow the arrows all the time. Also there is a second area where you need to go up a whirlwind I think that has a second secret gem area in the thieves area as well.

I played this game like a month ago- There are some other gems in that theive place besides the gem case. I think you have to break a wall, then it takes you to a whirlwind, then you glide to the top of a mountain where some barrels are... Though I don't remember where the wall thing is D:

You know, you don't have to follow the arrows to supercharge. Just stand in front of it and charge foward.
