i would beg to differ on the seats...my friends 04 cav has both front seats broken ..one is the sliding device..the other is something broke on the back part of it ...its a junk interior...speedo stopped working at like 65k too...along with other quality issues.....fail car
@coandcaiv For a car that gets awesome gas mileage and will never die on you, it's got a pretty decent interior. My parents had them for years and beat the hell out of them both driving over 200 miles per day on salty winter roads and my Mom's car made it all the way to Florida from Maine without a problem. My Dad sold it to one of his friends, and we still see it driving around, over 250,000 miles on the clock.
@Ricozero It's my daily driver. Probably won't do any real mods to it, it has to be reliable, get good gas mileage, and get me from point a to point b for the next 5-6 years.
I'm in Southern NJ, so it doesn't get quite that cold, but nonetheless, it starts in all kinds of weather. Never drags, etc. I have a 900 CCA battery in it.
My 98 runs like a champ, no complaints here.

I've seen worse interiors. And the seats are not that bad, they just could use lumbar support.

rudolphna54 - Which oil were you using in the car before? I take it there was a problem with it starting in the cold at 7 deg. F?

I have a 1997 to with the 2.2. I use 15w40 in my Cav and it always starts great. I have 242k on mine. Probably a Cavalier record!

Eek 15W-40?! Wow I'm surprised it cranks when it gets cold. I know a guy who has 320K on his 2.2L still going strong.

320K? I thought my car had more. That's great.
