hi!um,i have a little problem...,(for example)whenever i try to play the 2nd,3rd,and 4th strings,i accidentally play the 1st string which is pretty annoying...does anybody know a way to stop that,i mean,to stop playing strings that you dont want to...?

@hinata01mcr Absolutely, that's a common problem. When playing chords normally, you damp the strings you don't want to play ( watch harmonics and if no fingers are left your pointer can usually damp higher strings as if you were doing a bar chord), and also try your best not to hit them with the pick. If you're playing pizzicato (palm mute) then you're supporting your hand and you should be able to hit exactly the strings you need (if not, with practice you'll be able to). It all takes practice

@jeroen0011 Whatever you want to call it, it's just a fast way to learn it if your not good reading tabs (I really doubt there's actually music sheet for this), or if you're not good enough to play by ear. less than one minute seems pretty fast to me compared to the 10 minutes lessons of the song around youtube, dont you think? And I assume that somebody looking for lessons is either noob or retarded. Of course they havent been playing for a long time. That's what lessons are for.

@IriiSjaa Thumb down. That's the trick. put your left thumb in the middle of the neck, and keep your fingers as paralel to the frets (perpendicular to the fretboard) as possible. Hope that helps ;)

@dreinicko47 Just the amp I had when I recorded that. If you're trying to get a good distortion, there are 2 options: Get an at least 30wtts amp, and/or buy a distortion pedal or multieffect. ;) The guitar also makes part of the job. If you own a 60 dollar's guitar, I don't think it will be easy to get a good sound. Just in case.

@dreinicko47 The more watts, the better sound. At least 30. Marshall is my personal favorite. But sometimes you can get a good sound from a crappy amp, if your guitar is good enough. I haven't played with that pedel before. If it's good, you should try it. Sometimes the amps are better for treble sounds, sometimas theyre better for bass sounds. Acording to that, choose the correct gain, and try to get a tone that sounds good through your amp, even if it's not as heavy as you want.

@dreinicko47 Oh, and for THIS particular song, I recomend to reduce the guitar volume a little bit (8 or 9 instead of the normal 10 everybody use) then just try with different gains. en EQs. I also recomend for small amps something like Bass: 7 Mid: 4 Treb: 4-5. cause small speakers in general (not only amps) have trouble with bass sounds. Hope that helps.

@xl50Cal1bR3xl It's called Hammer-on. In case you don't know, its just pressing the fret after de "h" without picking it. Usually you have to do it fast, in order to use the vibration of the last picked note. There's also a technique called pull-off which is the oposite of hammer. You pull off your finger in order to make a lower fret sound, without picking it. You can do hammer, pull, hammer, pull untl you get out of energy, and it'll sound. For more info, look for a lesson of it =) good luck
