All men are NOT created equal, that is a myth that is destroyed the moment you assemble a group of men. There are a collection of traits and characteristics that are available to ALL ppl. All ppl don't receive the same characteristics, they are indeed distributed randomly, but not according to race. I have met countless Whites who are intellectually inferior to myself, and at the same time I've had my ass handed to me in a B ball game against one of my White brethren.
We have yet to have a dialogue in this country about the true nature of the relationship between Blacks and Whites. We hear ignorant comments from racist on both sides, and yet there is this unspoken connection through fantasy and intrigue. Fascism seems to be an inherent part of human nature, brought to you by your lower brain, yet diversity is so much more appealing.Different doesn't mean better or worse, it simply means not the same. Equality?
Obama and similar politicians would simply call this "statements generated during the campaigns" or "semantics during time of rebellion" etc. etc. etc.
They have their own version of history, and by golly they're stickin' to it!
The simple fact is that if the US were "one nation indivisible" then it would preclude the Constitution being anything but a mission-statement, since mob-rule and oligarchy would just thumb their collective nose at it like they do now.
@SovereignStatesman Yeah, people always say that the southern states never seceded, and if they did in fact secede then they did so illegally. Well my question for that is if they didnt secede, why did they have to be readmitted into the Union?
@RevBillyRayCollins Truth is, they did secede, though they were never officially recognized by Lincoln or his government. Never was there a declaration of war against the Confederacy either; this would have meant recognizing them as a legitimate agency & power, and raise innumerable questions as to the ethical right and morality of Lincoln's war upon them. He continued to refer to it as a "rebellion" 'til war's end.
Lincoln waged war to keep his 40% tariff, and said so; he expressly said that there would be "invasion, force and bloodshed" only as needed to collect the taxes.
To say that Lincoln made war on his own people to free the slaves, is as adacious as saying that Hitler committed the Holocaust to get the Jews back to Zion (i.e. Isreael).
If these are indeed Lincoln's words, he wasn't really wrong. While blacks and whites live in peace most of the time, how the two races treat each other in general is true to Lincoln's words. America is supposed to be a melting pot, but why does it look more like a cafeteria tray. Because Lincoln chose whites and Douglas chose blacks as well as most whites and most blacks and most asians and most hispanics, until all races see each other as equals all races will see their race as superior.
One of these quotes is from April 15, 1865. Lincoln was assassinated on March 3, 1865, apparently six weeks before he said the Negroes should be exported to a fertile country.
Lincoln's promise to send them to Liberia, was made as lightly as his other promises- like his promise to abide by the pending Supeme Court's decision in Dred Scott, however it turned out. (Fremont campaign speech, 8/1/1856)
Lincoln was confident that the Supreme Court would outlaw slavery in the territories; but when it ALLOWED it, he flipped and plotted TO OVERTHROW THE SUPREMECOURT in his "House Divided" speech.

@RevBillyRayCollins
Did you watch my video?
It PROVES that each state was a sovereign nation, just like Britain or France.
So Lincoln was no different from Hitler or Hussein, in claiming otherwise.
(SADDAM Hussein, that is-- not the guy in the White House)

This is true. Glad to hear it from a youtube account. We tend to polish history to make it gleam in the historic light.

So when he won, the states seceded--FANCY THAT!

@wanaknowya If you are correct on the dates, this quote came from a dead man. That's a neat trick.
