@TheArkTek If you have a ps3 you can just get the MGS HD Collection that's coming out (Already out in us i think), cause that edition has MGS2, and MGS3 subsistence and the classic old metal gear games.

@OctoCamoSnake Its an awsome game dude. It's the only reason I have a PS3 (I'm not a fanboy or anything). I would say if you've played 1 and 2 then go through on the Normal (USA) difficulty, but if not, then try it out on naked normal. Also, I would suggest at least two play throughs before attempting a BBE run. HAve fun!

There was a part in that trench battle scene where he walked right in front a soldier who didn't even care; I couldn't see but it couldn't have been PMC. Even meaningless alerts DQ the emblem, right?

I thought, why won't you start up an old save with all the weapons in the game, so you don't have to try and collect everything again? That's what I do. Just play the game on Liquid Easy, collect all weapons and items, then start it up on the Boss Extreme. It'll make things much easier. Did you just want to start this game with a new save on purpose?

I am sorry I just can't get into this game, I got it as a gift for Christmas last year and have played twice. The second you do anything you are seen and thats it your done. I hate all the sneaking around. Where is the fun. I never had any of the earlier games and am glad I didn't waste my money. I'll take a good Madden or Medal of honor over this any day. Any body interested in buying a like new PS3 copy of MGS4? I will consider trades for other PS3 or Wii games.

bigg boss face camo, the patriot, and one other thing i can't remember right now. the BB face camo is sweet, just run past any militia of PMC member and they will scream until the pass out, so it makes future BBE playthroughs much faster.

You cannot use anything that might make ur stamina or health go up, the best way to not get caught in some places is to use the solid eye because it tells u where the enemy is at 90% of the time and the night vision is good to because u can locate the enemy faster but don't use it near a frog cuz they can hear it, don't know y but they can, and last the tranquil. Is one of ur best friends followed by a non-lethal shotgun, and the traq sniper, specially in boss fights. To get the non-lethal shot

And also, do u have to not take any damge at all in the game? because iv seen the requirement list.. and not taking damage isnt on ther.... Or r u just tryna avoid getting hurt so u dont hav to use any health shizzle...

I was given this game for xmas, not much of an action gamer. Not really into first person shooters. Last one like that I had was golden eye for ps1. Any general hints/tips for overall game plat and strategy? Thanks for posting this stuff I would be completely lost. First time I got the game I ran around killing everyone and didn't get any where.

u get better scores for the less people you kill so try to sneak around and use tranquilizer weapons. always use silencers if u have to use other guns. octocamo is great. just basically try not to get seen

And I think the logic with being able to crawl over mines and pick them up, is that, since Snake is crawling, he is able to see the mines before he triggers them, so he can carefully disarm/pick them up instead of just tripping them. That's what I've always assumed anyway.

there is an easier way to get big boss emblem.

Enter the patriot cheat.

Go the part in act 5 where the hands are coming towards u, it shows what everyone is doing.

And just keep shooting till u are able to buy the stealth.

omfg (freaking god just in case)! I have been wandering what the bigbosses face camo served for, and it was like boo! and all ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! So i managed to unlock all the stealth and bandana and to get it you had to not use any of them and i wa like crap! so i went to a walkthrough and I found this! altough it is difficult to follow you bwcause you have to get there in an excact time, but it has some very good tips, but if you get the solar gun and things the gameplay will be easier

The reason there are bodies in that building is because the unmaned flying vehicles leveled it earlier. You can see it right after u exit the building when u meet up with the mk 2.

I'm really reckless for this part, when i was doing Big Boss Emblem i charged at the FROGS with the MK2-pistol. But i did plant Sleeping Gas mines in the dining area and the kitchen in advance. didnt use the MKII at all.

to skip the akiba "accident" you should plant the 2 mines and b4 they go around the corner and meryl yells "contact" go over to them and punch meryl in the face and she will say "whats wrong with you" and then just walk to the next room :D and if it doesnt work then idk it works for me great vids though very helpful.

Well actually the better way is to plant about 6-7 SG Satchels at the base, toss two stuns over to the other side, then punch Meryl, the Satchels are for when you're on the First Floor when the tank comes in, you just have to detonate them so you only have to worry about the 4 FROGs there, cuts about...a minute or two out of your time
