  • I think a stroller is like a push chair or

trolly in England, a pram is probably called a baby carriage in the states

  • How many would i need 2chain 2do a pram blanket size????

  • @barrows86 I am not familiar with the term pram. Is that a baby blanket?

  • @tjw1963 A pram is like a stroller in the states. :)

  • @MsInga2011 Your kinds words are appreciated!

  • The way you are doing this is very hard for left handed people. I have the concept of it, but when I am finished the whole stitch is up side down. Please is there a way to do this for left handed people?

  • @yotcral66 I thought I had made a lefty popcorn tutorial. That is something I will do. I have a new channel youtube/crochet where I am uploading beginner video. The video is new and will not be uploaded here.

  • @yotcral66 I will be uploading new video to both channels but no duplicates.

  • @pisceslicious Thank you.

  • Wait--when you do the chain/double crochet stitch to give yourself space between the popcorn stitches, do you make the popcorn stitch in the chain space after where the double crochet stitch goes, or in the same space?

Also---think you can show how to do those in rounds?

  • could this stich be used to make a hat? would it be complicated?

thank you very much teresa =)

  • could this stich be used to make a hat? would it be complicated?

thank you very much teresa =)

  • Hi teresa, love your videos. I think you are awesome and i am always visiting your sites trying to learn something new. I have one question for you...can the popcorn stitch be used instead of the closed mesh when doing a filet crochet. Is there anything that i would have to change as far as the spacing in between. Ive done a small swatch, but not sure what the whole outcome would look like. what do you think?

  • Hi teresa. You are awesome. What talent you have. Thanks for sharing all of your techniques. I have one question for you. Can the popcorn stitch be used for the closed mesh on filet crochet. Do you have any videos on something like that? Once again thank you for all you do.

  • thank you :) this helped me a lot

  • @Eryyna You are welcome.

  • Do these stitches make the work larger? I mean is it ok if I take the basic number of chains I usually do instead of decreasing it to allow room for the work to spread?

  • @jsisag The popcorn may expand the work a little bit on the edges.

  • @tjw1963 Thank you! I plan to make a cardigan with this stitch

  • wow that is so cute... : )

  • I love it. thank you

  • Thanks for this video. Teresa.

I too will be using this stitch for a baby blanket..

    Love your videos.

    Best wishes,

    Sheryl..

  • @shezie16 I purchase yarn from AC Moore, Michaels, or Wal-mart.

  • How many chain do I need for baby blanket size? Thanks for shaing how to crochet popcorn style stitch. I have pattern but never get it till saw your video!

  • @Kristycoon29 I would estimate 125-150 for a baby blanket.

  • I make a simplified popcorn stitch and it is the same on both sides, I love making it. I just finished an afghan. I think your patterns are great, isn't it funny how there are so many different ways to do a pattern? I love your video.

  • @craftygrandma419 Yes, one idea can spawn hundreds of different ways.

  • Thank you for this video! I can now make popcorns woooo!

  • You are welcome. :)

  • @tjw1963 hey where do you buy your yarn at?

  • I love your videos !! you are fantastic and your ideas are easy to follow and understand. • I would love to make a blanket or throw with this stitch. Do you have a blanket or throw pattern with this stitch? As a general rule I have a hard time following patterns, but your are always so easy. GREAT tutorial.

  • Yes, you can make a scarf.

  • Can you make a hat with that stitch?

  • that is sooooo cool

  • Awesome stitch. I was looking to make a scarve about the same size as the shell crochet scarve that you had posted, but I wasn't sure how to tell how many chains would be required. Any helpful hints?

  • You could try 23 chains. It really depends on how many chains you want and your individual crochet style.

  • Hello

Ms.Teresa my ame is Theresa well anyway I really love ALL of your videos my question is i saw some crochet earrings on khandyissweet I'm so puzzled on how these are started and finished i know it has a curly cue in it but yet I'm still puzzled would you post a demo on them Thanks in advanced and stay Blessed!!!

  • Great video! Thanks for the clear demonstration and explanation.

  • You are welcome. :)

  • Hi. On the second row, are you making the stitch in the middle of the popcorn stitch below it? Thanks.

  • Yes I am making it in the center of the previous popcorn on this practice swatch.

  • i wish you would slow down abit please so i get chance to follow wat you r doing

  • thats what the pause button is for :)

  • Hi, your tutorial is great, thankyou. Just wanted to let you know that English crochet terms are different. Dc is a treble here, sc is a double here, treble crochet is a double treble here, thought you may be interested

  • Thank you. I think I crocheted some English patterns at one time and discovered that something was not quite right.

  • I have watched 3 different videos already, and each of them showed a different method! YIKES

  • There are different ways to connect the popcorn stitch but there is only one popcorn stitch. There are other cluster type stitches that are similar to this stitch. The puff stitch, cluster stitch. There are many variations with different names and some techniques have several different names for the same stitch.

  • what a nice explanation! and, the video is very clear! thank you for sharing what you learned and uploading this video!

  • You are welcome. I appreciate your comments and feedback.

  • i have watched so many videos of different crochet techniques, and i always come back to your video's. Very understanding. :)

  • Thank you for coming back. Please post your questions if you should need help.

  • Your videos and explantions are so clear! I was looking for this stitch. Thank you very much and greetings from Mexico City.

    thank you soooo much!

  • You are welcome :)

  • thanks for the wonderful demo!

  • You are welcome. :)

  • thankyou!

  • You are welcome. :)

  • That's such a neat stitch lol I feel like making a popcorn blanket, maybe lining it with red, or start with a red then work into a popcorn stitch with yellow... YOUR AWESOME!!

  • Thank you. :)

  • You are my hero !!! For real! I was looking for this -for the popcorn stitch - I had only the symbol but not the name and I tried to do it my self and I was really close . But I learned for your explication what I have to do ! .. You are great . I still have some symbols I need to find out what they mean and how to do them but I know I will find the trough your videos! Thanks a lot!!!

  • You are welcome. :)

  • Why do you put one popcorn directly on top of one on the bottom row? Shouldn't they be alternated? Also, you should slow down on this one and actually show the chain three from the bottom stitch on the turnaround and the one double crochet before the popcorn on the second row.

  • This tutorial is showing how to make the popcorn stitch alone and the three different ways to join it. You can put them on top of each other, alternate them or make your whole project with the popcorn stitch. I have seen the popcorn used in a variety of ways. If I should use the popcorn in a square, I will show the beginning and ending stitches.

  • I just wanted to say Thank You for doing these videos! I have been learning from them! It's so helpful to actually see it being done rather than reading it in a book! Sincerely, Liz

  • You are welcome. :)

  • I never heard of the popcorn stitch... thanks for showing us this wonderful video.

  • You are welcome. :)

  • how many stitches did you chain? great video by the way :)

  • Thank you. It looks like I may have done about 15 chains or so. I was showing the three ways to create a popcorn stitch so that is why I didn't mention the amount of chains.

  • This is the easiest video that I've seen so far about the popcorn stitch!!

  • Thank you. :)

  • u ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks. :)

  • You're probably my favorite person, ever...

  • Thank you. :)

  • you make this look so easy, you do great work, thank you for sharing.

    stormynight

  • nice video! please send me also a video on how to make a bikini crochet like panty and bra! thank you

  • I have a video on decreases and increases which are used a lot in clothing. You will need to find a pattern, unique to yourself, with your own measurements, in order to do a bikini.

  • what will i type in search buttom if i want to see your video on how to make a bikini please help me i need to make a bikini for my friend before she go to in denmark! thanks

  • I don't have a video on a bikini. Go to google and do a search and type in crochet bikini. If a pattern exists, you can make it to your size. If I do a pattern for a bikini, it would be in my size and probably way to large for your friend. Clothing has unique measurements for each individual. My advise is for you to learn the crochet language so you will learn how to follow a pattern and adjust measurements.

  • beautiful I love all your videos and can't wait to try out all the new things i'm learning!

    thank you so much!

    Hugs

    Dol

  • Thank you.

  • please send me also or make a video on how to make a bikini like bra panty made in crochet! thank you

  • I'm sorry but I don't have anything like that. I would suggest that you do a google search for what you are looking for.

  • Thanxs! looks like popcorn yum!

  • hello, is the popcorn stitch the same as a bobble stitch? if not, do you know how to crochet that? thanx

  • I am thinking it might be the same but I will do some research to see what the difference is if they are not the same.

  • Hobby Lobby has a bunch of good yarns.

  • We don't have one here but we do have a Michaels and AC Moore. I just have not gotten over that direction lately.

  • yey I like red, red heart string.

  • thats realy bright yellow yarn

  • Yes it is bright. Lots of people say they like the brighter, lighter yarn because they can see it better. I have been looking for some alternatives in the store. Wal-mart does not have anything that will work right now so I will have to look someplace else. I will try to find something light and pleasing to the eye in the future.
