hello shadow thanks for the e and the information i have changed my account from momtemporal to magicwoman48. by the way your brother i an hoot i love him to bits.
Thank you for posting this, great long lost song by SHERIFF JOHN [ROVICK]. I have not heard this song in a VERY VERY LONG time, probably since the 1960's in Los Angeles, Cal. This put a BIG SMILE on my face and a tune in my head. ALL THE BEST.
Glad you enjoyed it! Growing up in the Midwest I had never heard of Sheriff John until I found this song. It is an extremely catchy tune! ;-) My cousins who grew up in Manhattan Beach both knew of him though.
All that cake, makes me peckish and it is only breakfast time here....lol...Anytime is a good time for cake though in my world...lol. What a delightful little video, Debbie :) And Happy Birthday Eva!! I will have to find out who you are!! :) xoxo
WuHoo! Were you an Iowa kid too? I knew her as Betty Lou McVay, but her married name was Varnum. I had a Gregory Lion puppet. And got hamsters because of Tales of the Riverbank and Hammy Hamster! Betty Lou made me what I am today. LOL!
I was an Iowa kid! I remember Betty Lou would talk about the magic forest or something like that, and refer to boy named Johnny that lived there. Tales From the Riverbank was the best.
I'm not remembering any Johnny, but she was on a lot of years after I got too old and stopped watching her. Maybe that's where the unicorn came into play as well. I don't remember a unicorn (although years later I collected them) but Wikipedia mentione one. Thanks for coming around and chatting with a fellow Iowan!
I watched Betty Lou & THOTMW when I would visit my Aunts in Colfax (that, and Floppy). Since I lived in Cedar Falls at the time I mostly watched Dr. Max & Mombo.
When I went to Iowa State years later, I wound up doing the audio for her show @ WOI. Kinda odd doing production on a kids show I used to watch.
How could she not have one after this wonderful "love-fest" I made for her AND her brother singing Happy Birthday in Swedish to her! What more could a girl want, right? LOL
a special coffee break today..you will at least see the cheesecake..:) Thank you so much..your video made my day..as well as Jill taking a half day..couldn't ask for a better day..:)
YAYAYAYA!!! I gain nearly as much weight watching cheesecake as eating it, it just isn't as much fun! I took a half day off too, but it's my normal schedule. We can just pretend I took it off for you ;-)
Sounds like a plan, we will work on that! Jill and I can exchange cheesecake recipes. I have one for Original Sara Lee cheesecake that is yummy, I haven't made that in years. You better get out your Planet Fitness keychain and start rubbing it. Did you ever find out why it doesn't work? LOL!!!
This is my second attempt at a response..lets see if this posts..I was thinking that maybe you and Jill could have a cheesecake bake off..Rafe and I could be the judges!! How yummy would that be?? lolol..as for the tag..no one has come up with a reason yet..however..I will try rubbing the key tag..that just might work..:)
The comments are being extremely 'buggy' today, more than usual, if that's possible. I get notices I have responses and they never show when I refresh. Very annoying! A bake-off sounds great! Speaking of road trips... Too bad Rafe has to work on Sat. night. I got an email that Zipster's band, Zen for Primates, is playing at the Caffe Lena in Sarratoga Springs! I gotta get to see him Live sometime!
Cool! Another 'California Girl' amongst my buddies. I had never heard of Sheriff John, but thought the song was great. Now I think I'll do a vlog on all the kids show locals.
BTW I couldn't sing the swedish birthday song because I forgot how the tune went. LOL As much as I do love to torture my sis there are limits. he he he
You were always that kid you could "dare to do" something, aren't you? ;-) I'm like, "Now if Brad would have SUNG YOU this birthday wish in Swedish I would have been impressed" and there you go and make it happen, LOL! Well, you 'technically' didn't sing it, but it was good enough for me. You should link it to mine so people can enjoy them both!
Yep, I would call it singing, and I recognized your voice. You're the one that said you didn't sing it in the first place, didn't you?! I'm too tired to think.
Well..I didn't sing it at first only typed it because I couldn't remember the tune.. then after your convincing..I finally remembered. Sorry for the confusion! :)
My name's Eva, too...
