Illinois is the only state in the U.S. that does not allow it's citizens' the right to protect themselves, a right guaranteed to us by the second amendment. How is it Illinois lawmakers have the right to deny the people of Illinois their constitutional right?

@ 6: 28 : this isn't true ; Illinois is a " Castle Doctrine " state meaning you have no lawful obligation to retreat in your own home .

Failed to mention we cant conceal carry in IL, but the Mayor of Chicago does conceal carry himself..along with his body guards..the same person that is preventing it all..

@618Bdown Well, not only is he better and smarter than you and I, but he's responsible. Without any evidence or objective facts, he knows you and I are stupid, ugly, hate our mothers and are grossly irresponsible. Hence, he must protect himself from HIS inferiors. Thanks Jim & Steve for posting this and sending to my e-mail address. I did not get to see this on Fox News But now I have. Keep up the good work. I now have 2 conceal carry permits one from Utah and one from Fl. I assume in Jan 2011 I will be able to use these also in Iowa. GREAT. Bill
