The game can be as simple as checkers, but when you play it at a high level it can be more complex than chess because of the "DICE" He references how the dice where made of bones, so the dice are responsible for moving light and good around until one side wins.

Here's what I think- Lost was never supposed to run as long as it did, it was supposed to be something like 3 seasons long. Then the TV bosses insisted it run longer because it was such a success. So, here Locke is telling Walt about who he REALLY is. In this episode the MIB has already taken over his dead body. He is playing a huge game of backgamon with Jacob already. Then this got side lined when Lost really took off and the MIB took over his dead body a few seasons later.

I agree and the fact that we don't get to hear what the secret is makes me wonder even more. I definitely feel that this is way too coincidental for Locke himself to be saying that; the original intent must be that the MIB had already taken over his body or had influence on him in some way.

Yes, it clearly foreshadows Jacob / MiB, but it also foreshadows Locke being impersonated by MiB and Walt ending up assisting the new protector (who ends up being Hurley) - FLocke = Dark, Walt = Light

Such a waste of time and all that hype about him coming back just to appear in 4 episodes and blow up!!!??! Screw that! Michael is still one of my fav characters because of Harold Perrineau's acting. I liked him the most in HBO's OZ as Augustus Hill.

I did not like the fact that he killed 2 great characters Ana Lucia and Libby. Ana Lucia was a bitch at times but she didn't deserve to die. If Michael hadn't handled matters in his own hand. He would not have been captured and be forced to do something like that. His friends were all willing to help him. He was so stupid, I don't like him at all in this show.

As for Michael, I can understand people not liking him. It is a shame he had to do what he did... They mainly did it because of Malcolm David Kelley growing up really fast... of course they could have done something else

The island is the board where the MIB and Jacob use the candidtes as the pieces like a giant backgammon game. They cannot kill them themself because they have to be killed by other players/pieces on the board. At least thats what I think.

"One is light...One is dark..." And that's exactly what this season is winding down to.

Except, well, I personally think that neither side is "good" or "evil," simply "light" or "dark" and both have positive and negative motivations, etc.

But that's just me. LOST has, up until now, been very clear about how everyone has the potential for good and bad in them and that everything is shades of grey. I'd like to hope it concludes with that.

The writers didn't know EXACTLY where they were going from the start, they had a general idea, but it wasn't totally planned. As the series went on, they wrote according to what they had already shown, in order to fit things together.

They weren't referring to the secret of the scene, 'Do you want to know a secret' had to do with the fact of the miracle that he could walk.

Mr. Echo was the Smoke Monster. It's also possible that Walt since he's special, that the smoke monster could have been him too. The smoke too is also said to have been Jack's dead (Which I dont' believe). And Alex, Ben's daughter. The smoke monster can take the form of people who died on the island. Yemi (Echo's brother) died on the island.

I think these scene has alot to do with the whole shows mysterys.

In season 1, when Claire has a nightmare, she sees John in the jungle, with one eye black, and another one white.

Then, Jack and Kate discovers two bodies by the caves, inside on of thems jacket they found one little black stone, and one white.

In the final of Season 5, light blonde Jacob sits on the beach with a white shirt on him, beside him sits a unknown man with black hair and a dark shirt on him.
