I never saw the appeal of Kristen McMenamy. She looked a bit androgynous, but had an unattractive face. That wouldn't matter so much if she had a great runway walk, but her walk was awkward and ridiculous. She had no clue about how to move elegantly. :P

@DeeDeeHoneybee She took great pictures, and had an 'edgy' look that was very in vogue at the time she was huge (mid '90s). Her runway walk isn't the best, but a lousy walk never made or broke a supermodel (look at Claudia Schiffer and Lara Stone).

You do have a point there. Kristen could evoke different moods in photos. Claudia WAS a klutz on the runway. As for Lara Stone, I don't pay much attention to today's models because malnourished girls with sour expressions don't seem "aspirational" to me.

tyra bank's walk sucks. the best catwalk was the walk of yasmeen ghauri. and everybody in the fashion biz knows that. the perfect walk is when your hips move but not the part above like by a jumping jack. the only reason for tyra banks popularity were her eyes and the fact that naomi campbell was the only supermodel during that time.
