Very nice improv! This is one of the few covers I play where I used the original sheet music. I've improv'd it somewhat over the years, but haven't yet taken the time to "free myself" from the original sheet music. You have and it sounds nice. Great use of arpeggios--they add nice fluidity to the song!

Great job. You have fun with this I can tell. And your fun is infectious. It's harder to play sharps than flats. I'm a perfectionist so I would have done this one over just because of the mistakes at 2:12, 2:21, and 2:27, even though most people would never notice.

Thanks for the comments!! Yes I made a few mistakes. But if you read my previous response you'd know why. I have 3 busted keys so I improvised by playing in a different key and transposing the keyboard by 1 octave. I only practiced once before deciding to record. when I get my keyboard fixed, I'll play the song in it's original key with my eye's closed! LOL

Ha! I wish it were that easy! My super classical piano skills are but a distant memory. The last time I could play Chopins revolutionary etude, fantasy impromptu, etc was when I was 19. I haven't been able to play them to classical standards ever since.

Actually I play the song in Ab. It's just that I have 3 busted keys. B1, E5, and F6. So I tranposed the song up 1/2 key when I recorded this video. I also transposed the whole keyboard up an octave so I can play the song without hitting those upper busted keys as well as that busted B1 key.

Took me 1 try to get used to playing it in C before I decided to record it. You can actually see me trying to geuss the chords! good thing it's not that obvious.

Not bad but why not in the original key (Ab)? Are you playing it in C just to make it easier? You should work it up in Ab. It's not hard to play and would sound a lot more authentic. (And it would be much better for your development as a keyboard player too to get comfortable playing in all keys!) On the whole though, nice job.
