"It couldn't be a meteor" godd**n he better not even call himself an ameteur astronomer. "Meteors only move down toward the ground" c'mon. I'm assuming the news ended at 10 or 11pm, the radiant of most meteors (meteor shower expected or not) would be BELOW THE HORIZON and most meteors would appear to go up toward the zenith of the sky.

I'll bet dollars to doughnuts this camera was facing east at the time.
