@tinkerbruzer Coburn also trained with Bruce Lee (along with James Garner and Steve McQueen) and wound up with an extremely arthritic right hand as an old man, and I always wondered if it was from breaking boards and so on while practicing karate.

I know exactly what you mean from my own experiences. By the way, Coburn was 2nd lead in James Garner's best movie, "The Americanization of Emily," written by Paddy Chayevsky.

@Onlymusical; It's makes life weird & funny as you trek through it, it's the people you meet. Dad even got to esscort Betty Grable to church by winning a USO drawing in his company & alot of other things like that hapened to him. I think his type of luck kinda rubbed off on some of us kid's with some of the funny things we'd had happen but Tailes for another time:

@cascic I have a web-page for info on this theme song for you with this video I posted on You Tube. TV Studios sometimes had there own vocalist sing these themes songs or had groups of singing talent they could go to for singers to these tv-theme songs. Unlike today back then singing talent didn't get credited for their work & that's the sad thing. Johnny Cash landed jobs singing western themes; I know off-hand he sang two TV-Themes; Johnny Yhma & Bonanza & I have Bonanza posted here.

@tinkerbruzer I wrote approximately 99% of the Wikipedia article on the series under three or four different guises and I like your webpage very much. Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to illustrate Wikipedia articles with photographs given the hoops through which you must jump and the packs of vandals patrolling the sites taking down pictures and any prose with a glint of personality but I think I put in a link to your website, at least at one point.

@Onlymusical; Thanks for the reply, My friend & I started making these little slideshow videos because we'd like the generations after us to understand some of what we as youngsters growing up in the 50's thru the 80's. Most of all the late 50's & 60's in entertainment venues; that's a-long techno jump for them to think of today. We just hope our little shows spark there interest in the times we luckly lived through.

@tinkerbruzer I had a lot of those comic books until fairly recently. Artist Don Siegel met James Garner before there were even any publicity stills available and did an incredible job of drawing Garner perfectly but didn't bother to do the same with Jack Kelly, Roger Moore, or Robert Colbert, all of whom looked more or less generic in his art. Unfortunately, Garner's apparently in no condition to play the character again in the future. The scripts for the '80s series didn't measure up.

@Onlymusical; Here's a little trivia, My sister & I rented a house in Torrance, CA. in the 80's. She & four of her girlfriend's went to the Red Onion in Redondo Beach for Dinning & Dancing & came in late Saturday night. She rolled out of bedroom at noon & after getting a cup of coffee sat at the dinning table. I was watching "In Like Flint" a campy 60's spy flick; Sis asked me "Who The Hell's That" James Coburn! I stated. She Blerted out! He Danced With Us Last Night!: We Didn't Know Him:

For her not knowing who "James Coburn" was must have been a nice night for James. Nice not having some 5 or 6 star-struck-girl's oogling over him & the other guy's with him. I've run into movie-stars from time to time but I don't get all carzy about it because there just people like you & me. I even work with them from one film-project to another. Movie Acters & Actresses enjoy working & being with people who don't go all gaga over there personna of stardom & they like as well:

@rtelson You just may be right about that; We're almost sure it from the second season and because of the shows popularity that's why they added the riverboat sound effect's that weren't in the first season theme. So all we did was update it by remixing the theme track for a, well what we hope is a nicer Verizon for tv western theme songs & music lovers.
