Yes, you're right - we are winning. There is no argument they can give that doesn't just end up sounding like desperate, arbitrary "justification". Excellent video - Thanks for all you do! :)
I like the whole message about giving fur the "cold shoulder" and stuff like that...I just don't like the fact that it seems that most of the PETA anti-fur ads only have women in them.
It seems like exploiting the women, when we are just looking to end exploitation...but, then again, I think I've been a little damaged by society's objectifying of women's bodies, and I might be a little too sensitive to it.
Yes, it is very striking. you can easoly see it in the media as well when they cover vegetarians, animal rights in general,... in canada its even worse then the US as far as I have noticed!
I wouldn't have guessed that. One of the things about America is that we do have more than our share of hatefulness.
Now don't everyone go ballistic on me. I'm not saying everyone is hateful here. I'm just saying that if you can expect, say, 20% of a population to be pretty hateful, it's probably closer to 30% in the U.S.
I would guess this stems in part from our independence and self-reliance. Self reliant to the point of assuming we are always right and don't need others opinions.
People in America are spoiled and have to have things THEIR way. If they see someone refusing to participate in the consumption of animals, they feel the need to abuse their freedom of speech and try to "correct the abnormality"(yea.. they think WE'RE the weirdos for not eating dead animals). Most are just hateful about it.
I can understand people getting annoyed when they get preached to about vegetarianism/veganism(no one likes a lecture), but I usually don't take that route and I'm still attacked the second they find out I don't eat meat.. boy..wait till they find out I'm going vegan!
great! that makes my day :D So if you suffer from depression, you know where to find me! :p I found that video you made about depression and veganism very helpful by the way. just wanted to let you know. love your vids

It certainly is easy to see the validity of an opponents points when they have an utter lack of rationality to bring into the discussion.
