Yeah. I just picked up the dx8 myself & to my amazement found that you can control servo speed of any servo from within the radio. A first for me- this thing almost talks to you...
Cool mods. You outta try & figure out how to get a clear lens for your histogram & make it really realistic .. Why didn't spektrum put a plastic lens like they did on the dx8?
@GeneticallySuperior1 Thanks. I did those mods out of pure boredom. I have a DX8 now and I could care less that it has a orange histogram that lights up.
Very sweet mods. Could you PLEASE show details how you wired the switch up behind the antenna. I've modded my DX6i to have a EL backlight, (and ordered some aluminium upgrades for the trim tabs and roller,) but this extra switch would be brilliant!
@pgroom68 I don't have my DX6i anymore, but basically it's just an inline switch from one of your power leads that turns on the EL kit. It's just a regular toggle switch.
That is a sweet mod my friend. So hard to see the settings without light kit. Love the orange led as a power indicator. How was the switch by antennae done and light? could you possibly do another vid to show? Thanks
