I loved Download in 2009. My sister got me 2 tickets for it over the internet, best rock festival I've ever been to. Slipknot pissed me off though. I eventually left because it took Corey 3 minutes to 8 minutes between each song just saying the F word the whole time. It's like dude... you've overused it. Jeez, every now and then fine but when you just sit there and say it every sentence when you're not playing, it gets old. Just shutup and play already.

READ what I actually wrote. I know who Tool is, I own every album...

And I disagree. Tool is more progressive *minded* than actually "prog." They're really not that technical (with the exception of Danny Carey). And Adam Jones is a musician first, then a guitarist. He's not terribly proficient or anything and that's kind of your opinion that he's one of the greatest. But don't get me wrong, I love Tool... their music is great regardless of how technically proficient they actually are.

@edthehead83 I completely agree with your point, Tool are very progressive (minded), though I'd also say they are a prog/alt act- bearing in mind that not all that is prog is the same technical craziness of Dream Theater and Symphony X.

The thing about a lot of modern Progressive Metal acts is they try to emulate these bands so closely that they are no longer actually progressive (or progressive minded, as you put it so well).

I'd still say that Tool are part prog, especially in comparison...

I have been attending since 2005. Not for me this year though im not paying nearly £200 to see slipknot! Sorry but they just dont cut it for me as a headlining band. Previous headliners i have been there and seen "Tool" Black Sabbath" Iron Maiden" "Metallica" "Kiss" Guns and Roses" "Linkin Park" "System Of a down"

just dont compare to 9 screaming people in masks. I'll be looking to spend my money to see better bands
