  • This film is about transportation... I found it on filmsi.co.cc... Through time, space, and experience. And what transports us as humans through these things. Love, loss, sadness, obsession, curiosity, and hope.

  • Nothing like making a trailer that makes everyone who watches it fiercely interested in the movie while simultaneously revealing absolutely nothing about the movie itself. Definitly makes me want to see this movie on filmsi.co.cc as soon as possible.

  • i absolutly hate this movie.. they take the haka from nzers, then they translate the words completly wrong

  • i thought this was terrible a movie, the protagonist was an erratic twurp, and i felt the general team building felt kind of artificial.

I love rugby and i dont think this movie dose it justice to be honest. I think a better attempt should be made

  • in ver. in the spanish please I like see

  • ¿ALGUIEN SABE DONDE PUEDO VER LA PELICULA EN ESPAÑOL SIN SUBTITULOS? ¿PODRIA SER QUE NO LLEGO A ESPAÑA?

  • Amazing movie!

  • Its good to see rugby getting bigger in the states. Interesting sight seeing Americans doing the haka though!

  • were probably going to have to play them over the next couple of days. im about to go hop on the plane to utah.watch out for those san mateo warriors!!

  • Amazing Movie - a must show to any HS sports team!

  • ra rot ta

  • awesome film :)

  • Horrible movie....so rediculously unlike real rugby.

  • is their entire team imported ?

  • i wanna learn the haka

  • Sean Faris (L)

  • This is an amazing movie.

  • this movie is basically talking about the people you hang out with watch what your peer groups are doing

  • does anyone knw where i can watch this movie without downloading anyting

  • i love this movie..its actually my favorite movie ever! and for all those people saying that they need to mention NZ, in the behind the scenes on the movie THEY DO give credit of the haka to New Zealand! this movie is great and soo accurate! i love it as a female rugby player but also just as an amazing movie!

  • hahaaaaaaaaaaaahahahaha

  • I LOVE Sean Faris!!! He was gorgeous in Never back down :)

  • "i want you to him em so hard you make them cry"

lol is that supposed to fire a team up?!

tell them to throw down the fucking mark, blood and fucking power.

  • I don't fucking understand anything ? how movie does Sean Faris acted in ?

  • yea im maori and from New Zealand wtf is this???

bowt time the made a rugby movie but shit they ruined it

Bet half dont even no wat the haka is

it coulda atlest been more realistic in having N.Z more involved so they didnt look us look like eggs like they have done to them selfs

  • I dont understand. Wasnt the Highland rugby team a New Zealand team? Why is the coach American? Hmm.. IF not... Why are they doing the Haka if its not theirs? Only Kiwi's do the Haka, thats why it seems so wrong. And they do it so badly. We're not being petty, we're being truthful. New Zealand should atleast be mentioned in these interviews or even the movie. I hope it is. Otherwise, you guys look like idiots slapping yourselves and saying words you dont understand.

  • the new zealand team you are thinking of is the all blacks and they are the people thate perform the haka!

  • Dont tell me about my own culture. There was a Highland rugby team. It was kiwi. So tell me why theyre performing the Haka when theyre obviously an American rugby team? its not part of your culture at all.

  • I know the coach of this team. He asked permission to use the Haka before some of his games; in one of the behind the scenes clips, I think he mentions that. And they don't do it before every game, just the big ones. I would consider it a compliment, not an insult, that they use it.

  • No iwi tribes were consulted for the blessing on the haka....

    just coaches.

geez america another rip off of another country, your great people but you gotta wonder why the world hates you? this is why

  • this movie was stupid, and it mostly islander's like tongans and samoans live in utah, hardley any maori's, prob none and they do the haka... lol this movie wud of been good if they didnt bring the maori culture to shame...

  • hey i agree with theflamecantbeburnt all the way

and i might not of been on a rugby union team but i was in a rugby league team very simular but yet very different!

    all teams are the same!

  • Seriously everyone that seems to have a problem with this movie must be completely sh*t at rugby! This is more than a rugby movie, teamwork, not being a selfish wanker... heaps more. If you had actually been in a REAL team, you would understand the kind of bonds you have with your team mates.

Also the Haka comments. Seriosly, if the Moari did not have a problem with it. Shut up!

  • they should have used canterbury designs jersey!!!! this is like watching 1989s rugby...and the Haka thing so so wrong

  • they should have used rugby players for this movie..it would have been a big hit for the rugby lovers..

  • Comment removed

  • exactly

  • where it can be dowloaded?

  • looks like a joke to be honest.

  • Protected . . . the Maori haka made famous by the All Blacks has received commercial protection by the New Zealand government.

  • nothing can pwn remember the titans

(and their haka was lame as... do they know the origins of the haka? i wonder.)

  • dis movies pretty good i thought it could have been better

  • when does it come out ?

  • I still dont get why they do the Haka, they should use their own war dance!

  • Because alot of Moari people moved to Utah. So they took their traditions over with them!

  • :\ needed more practice on the haka

  • USA is the most useless team in 5th grade union and even top grade, Ireland have never beaten us (All Blacks) ever since the game began, but no doubt Ireland is a good team

  • God damn it... i'm in love with this game...

  • is this rugby leage or rugby union?

dont bash me cause i dont know

  • Union

  • It's rugby union. Whenever you talk about 'rugby' it means union. Rugby league is always refurred to as either rugby league or just league.

  • why the hell are they doing the haka?

  • they wanna be a all blck

  • coz i think its a true story about a coah and the coach works for the nz all blacks i think...

  • @presnillajones team spirit

  • so someone tell me y, the main character first plays wing, then all of a sudden goes to hooker???

  • Relax people!! This is a good thing...at least its on the big screen. Go and get entertained and learn new things.

    Spread the Love...

    peace out

ps so what if the Yanks cant play rugby?? at least its not another gridiron movie..

    aroha

  • these guys are a bunch of fags half their team is born in New Zealand

  • So being a New Zealander makes me a fag?

  • i am just saying that the team is gay because they bring in people that shouldnt be playing for United States High School rugby teams these guys dont even go to High School in America and they play for the team that is gay not New Zealanders

  • People slagging Americans, nope, some of us slag off those who would abuse our culture, since the ABs use Te Kamate you have the right to use it, why, because you play at that level ?

It would not be so bad if they had any interest in our culture, but it is obvious they do not.

Oh, the Maori taken to Utah for the fiming, were they Mormons like Going, or were they kaumatua from Ngati Toa ?

Or do Utah Mormons believe all Maori are the same as they must believe all Native Americans are the same ?

  • will it be screened in singapore

  • doubt it, i dnt think it made it onto cinemas.. i noe rugby is pretti popular there.

    aroha

  • It opens today in several states. Check listings. I saw it at a film festival and have been waiting to share it with my whole family, so we're going to try to get in tonight. Maybe they will put it on a couple more screens so we can all see it.

  • Rugby is trying to reach out globaly and a movie about the sport comes out (from US), am amazed by how people a slagging off the Yanks. How can we be in the same level as say football (soccer) when all we do is say to the minnows that they a shit, come people.

  • OMG!!!! i cant wait until this movie comes out me, and the girls from my team are going to see it the first day it comes out! i love how at the the do the haka. i wish my team could so that.

  • I just saw this movie in a private theater filled with people here in Arizona. We ALL clapped and cheered at the end of the film!!This was a FABULOUS movie!! I laughed, cried and was riveted by the filming..it was AWESOME! I know this will be a huge hit! Great job guys!

  • do the movie available in singapore???Cuz i'm a rugby player too...

  • when did this movie came out???I LOVE RUGBY MAN...My favourite sport

  • comes out on the 26th of sept...so like next week

  • kiwis should be proud to see a haka done by another culture. The maori/kiwi culture is relatively insignificant globally - and it should be viewd as a compliment. As a kiwi... I have no porblems with it at all.

  • Hey if kiwis have a fuckin problem with this film, they should shut up and make their own film about the allblacks. I'm sure it would make a great picture.

In over a hundred years of film, no one has attempted to make a major film release about rugby.

So put up or shut up, the film makers obviously revere the sport and have a lot of respect for rugby union. enough to make a film revolving around it, which is more than can be said about most film makers.

  • actually there was a movie in the early 90's called Old Scores!

  • GO HIGHLAND RUGBY!!! my school's team freaking rocks!!!!!!!!!!!! i can't wait to see it!!! :D go highland rams!!!!

  • The All Blacks have been performing Haka before games for over 100 years. Rugby and the haka are much intertwined. It does not matter if it is being preformed by Americans, Samoans or Kiwis if the proper respect and commitment is shown in its performance then anyone can perform it.

  • The Haka is supposed to represent Maori tradition, so countries like Samoa, Fiji, Tonga and Papa New Guinea all have those roots and do it to respect their culture. Americans really have no right to perform it. :S

  • I am of the Nagti Awa tribe I know the oral traditions of my people. Haka is not just for Maori it is for everyone. When we welcome groups to the marae we do not exclude non Maori. If you are aware of the traditions of our people then you will be fully aware that Haka is preformed by the welcoming group as well as responded too by visiting group. No one is excluded based upon the colour of their skin.

  • No, don't get me wrong I knew that, but it's different when it's an American High School. I'm not really that bothered as it's not like New Zealand Maori's are offended, as they condoned the movie, just seems a bit lame American's copying a New Zealand tradition.

  • No!!!.... the right NZ Maori did not condone the use of this Haka....as a matter of fact they are very upset with this movie

They recently were acknowledged by the NZ government as the legal owners of the Ka mate haka....maybe that will stop it from being ripped off in the future

  • is a war dance lol

  • wow a movie with rugby in it... and its american. wack bt kwl. i thnk ths movie wil b big in NZ.

  • Did you notice the opposing side seems to be wearing an almost carbon copy of the Samoan team's jersey in 4:06.

  • btw, is this a movie about american club named highland rugby in utah?

if it is i think they could have picked better team and also...

well idk how many islanders are in utah but i see a lot of white boys on the team.

maybe i'm wrong, maybe those white boys are from pacific islands like tonga, etc but if they are not... then haka should not be in it.

  • i'm preti sure the all blacks have white too ay... some guys like richie mccaw and dan carter ring a bell? i guess the all blacks better stop doin the haka...

  • but aren't all blacks stand for new zealand which is a land of maori?

even though some all black players may not be polynesians, they are not like of white guys in america who disgrace haka and maori culture.

they feel passion for the game as WELL as for their LAND.

after all, they play for new zealand.

  • well from what ive read, that american team have been doin it for the past 30 years due to a mass amount of polynesians who live there. the haka is not about a specific place but to spur on the team or group before goin into battle or game. i'm sure they respect it as they seem to hold it in high regard.

  • Highland has done a haka for 33 years and its in the movie because its part of Highland's culture & story. Not only have they received the blessing of the Maori community, but the marae even wrote a special haka for Highland which they do in addition to Kama Te. For the movie, the studio flew up two Maori representatives from NZ to be present for any haka shot and personally approve its inclusion in the film.

  • Half of Utah is polynesians that is why. Polynesians have made it a Utah sporting event tradition, go to any Utah football, rugby, and maybe wrestling game and you will see the haka. We all of ancestors and traditions. Show some respect.

  • why do the haka in a US team ? - way to exploit another nationalities culture

  • what is the song in this trailer???

    i really want it!

    x

  • Well, let's see here. If the point of this story is; have a team and never give up, then the sports channels do it so much better! I hope it's not so much about all that, but more about how some lives may be fucked because of all this hype.

Well,it's probably about that former thing but, well, one has to hope, right?

  • Why do people knock things they have no knowledge of whatsoever?

    Watch this movie.

After that I may be more willing to listen to you.

  • it looks dumb but in never back down is probaly way way better

  • Hae who tought you the haka im from new zealand btw..

  • okay im not an anti-american. but so far this looks bullshit. To me i dont find this realistic, i know its based on true events but it doesnt seem believable form the footage i've seen so far. But i'll make my final judgement after i'v seen the film. seems like hollywoods tainting the game tho.

  • i like this game is good ....but soccer is still my fav still rugby looks like an awsome game

  • When does this movie come out?

  • Sept. 26 is suppsoed to be the release date

  • Let's face it, anti-Americans will never cut us any slack whatsoever. You jackasses are the ones that make fun of American Football and that Americans can't appreciate a real sport like rugby...then a movie is made about one of the U.S's best high school rugby teams, a movie that could really generate interest and appreciation for the sport in the U.S., and all you anti-Americans find new reasons to criticize the evil empire. We get it people...we know where your coming from. you hate us! gotcha

  • BTW...my university, UNLV, has a Maori named Johan Asiata that plays on our football team (gridiron). When UNLV played Hawaii, BYU and Utah...those teams did the Haka. He laughed about the fact that he was probably the only Maori on the field...but wasn't at all offended that his fellow Polynesians were performing a Haka. He said some of the U.S. Hakas are funny though because they aren't necessarily battle hakas they're doing most the time and are out of place.

  • but, the point is, if you look at Highland's rugby team, its filled with Polynesian players. Some native to Utah, and some that are coming straight from their respective island to play for Highland. That's how big Highland rugby is, kids in the Polynesian islands know this high school as an option. BTW...Highland high school travels to New Zealand this year to play various teams there. They've done this before, and were more successful than you people think.

  • i think its great that rugby is growing in the US but PLEASE dont copy the haka.. im so sick of seeing it every week end

  • The Haka is sick no doubt..But leave it to the All Blacks..

  • Glad to see a rugby movie , stop wih all the bullshit boys , lets see how the MOVIE is and then we can all say how good(i hope)or how bad it was ?

  • amen either way its good publicity for rugby in america.

  • any GSP school could waste these guys .... red card for spitting in someones face my ass ... i got a warning for doing that. The small things that people from tri-nations countries will pick up is wat will piss them off

  • This movie looks like a crap! pretty boy actor, Haka by Americans WTF!! based on a true story, the boys in that team need to travel to a tri-nations country and then play, see if they survive, doubt they will

  • They're high school kids, who actually placed 3rd in a World Schools compition in Zimbabwe in 1997 or 98. So I don't think thats too bad considering they were up against schools from the SANZAR regions.

  • At the World Schools Championship, Highland won their pool (no small feat), got beat in teh semi-finals by Kelston Boys High from NZ, who went on to win the tournament, then came back to beat Tupou HS, which at the time was the national champion of Tonga, for a bronze medal and a 3rd place world finish. Most American school boy teams shy away from top international competition, but not Highland.

  • Highland just returned from NZ and survived beating St. Kentigren's in Auckland 46-8 and barely lost to Wesley. In fact, Highland was up 10-5 at halftime and lost in the last minute of play when the Wesley wing intercepted a pass and went 80 meters for the win. Cut Highland some slack, they play good rugby.

  • man, why did they have to pick a pretty boy actor to play the role, he looks like he couldn't play rugby for shit, where's the real rugby players?

  • HA a rugby movie based in AMERICA... FUCK ME! Maybe we might wanna look at the tri nations, Super 14, six nations, Heineken Cup. FOR GODS SAKES! Hollywood is tainting our game!

  • do they seriously televise and play national anthems before this shit? no american team gets this much footballesque bullshit ha were lucky to have 40 people at one of our games

  • yeh they do have national anthems before international test matches as they are INTERNATIONAL matches.

  • pffft highland, my school could waste them

    nudgee whattt!

  • YEAH...WE WHOOPED ON HiGHLANDZ ASS WEN THEY CAME 2 TONGA...fUCK HiGHLAND RUGBY...KiDS iN HAWAii CAN PLAY BETTER THAN THEM tOO!!...

  • tongans are insane, dude, we played a tongan u-15 team in san francisco, safe to say, THEY KICKED OUR ASSES, their backup prop cheap shotted me tho, but otherwise, a good match,

  • this movee is goin to be so wack and fake.

they were doin up and downs in the movie thats football shit

at least they finally recognize the sport of rugby

representin rhino rugby san pedro california

  • Haven't watched the movie , but there should of been more polynesians on here to act , plus the crowd was more unbelievable loud when HIGHLAND plays. Didn't make it to the big screen world wide did it ?

  • they do the haka becasue of there new zealand players, they cheat they fly in 7 new zealanders and south africans every year to play for them then send them home, they american kids dont even learn their names

  • haha so true so true...fuck highland rugby and their gypsy tricks...i like how they had the Prince of Tonga as their Flyhalf two years back...huh sounds fair doesnt it?

  • Prince of Tonga? Guys like you give the human gene pool a bad name! Robert Wolfgram was Highland's #10 two years ago and is a US citizen. He went on to play rugby for BYU, was invited to play for the US national U-19 team, and is currently serving his two-year Mormon missionary service. It's so easy to shoot your mouth off about Highland and stuff you know nothing about.

  • I'm pumped to see this movie! Our whole entire rugby team is going the day it opens in theaters and this movie looks AMAZING!

  • Sorry utuberlol, I'm from South Africa, and they tried to make a movie about rugby here, and it tanked big time. America know how to make movies, I say big ups, I can't wait to see this one!

  • Well why not make a movie about rugby in SANZAR made by Hollywood. Thats where the real rugby action is...

  • South Africa the world champions thats all i gotta say !!!! Go Bokke!!!

  • u definetely shudnt go to america to get a rugby movie done!

  • its about time a decent movie about rugby was made. this is going to kick ass!

  • This is awesome! This is going to give all us Rugby boys a deserved bump in street cred. Think its a testament to the growing popularity of our beloved, if auricular sport. Hopefully it is truer to the game than the friends episode or "Puddle Cruisers" which was fantastic regardless. Who is the 8-man in this movie, he should be the best looking guy on the team. Cheers

  • this movie is going to be terrible. mark my words it will tank at the box office and critically.

  • have you seen it, its actually really good...asswipe, sorry its not as physical as volleyball...fucktard.

  • sorry, i guess i'm just not excited to see karate kid lookalike sean faris bastardize mixed martial arts and rugby all in the same year

  • its going to kill, shut up and play a real sport

  • please leave our haka alone, not just for this rugby team but every rugby team in the states! its not something to throw around and use as something to "pump you up"..its a NEW ZEALAND thing, haka's are specific to a team, taking into acount the history of the team and what the city/town and team stands for..also the haka is not a polynesian thing..its MAORI theyre differnt. no hakas ever speak anything about USA..please..we wouldn't sing your anthem, dont americanise our haka..thankyou

  • Maori is part of Polynesia, besides, most of the guys that play for highland are of Polynesian decent, telling them not to share their culture is like an Englishman saying you can't play rugby cuz its their sport...

  • yes cuntface, but that haka is specific to the tribes of New Zealand, warrior tribes, not these 2nd tear pussy ass american fuckheads, out of all the great rugby nations that you could have made a movie in they choose to do one in the US, fuckme

  • why do the all blacks rugby team often change their haka because it varies from different tournaments? thanks

  • They have two haka."Ka Mate" is the traditional one which is performed the most, and "Kapa o Pango" is usually performed during big occassions or to opponents the All Blacks believe to be tough to beat.

  • hey jokkp, Maori is not part of polynesia its from Hawaiiki where is that can you tell me. and besides were not saying englishman cannot play it look at the All Blacks for fucks sake they have some pakeha men. and who cares if highlanders are polynesian decent doesnt mean they should be copying our haka. thanks for your shitty comment fucktard.

  • I'm Peruvian, and when my non-Peruvian friends share Peruvian things with me, I'm honored and flattered.

  • @eisenkreumusik

Maoris I've come across usually do not have a problem with other races doing the haka, as you've just said they too feel honored and proud that their culture and traditions are being spread to different parts of the world....the problem we have is mainly from those decendents of migrants currently residing in NZ and are NOT Maori...they think just because they live in NZ they have authority over it...do not take any notice of them

  • "it" being the haka

  • HAHA!!thats my coach!hell yeah!!

    Highland rugby BAyBeE!!

  • hell yeah highland high thats my school tight

  • Any New Zealanders (who follow the All Blacks or not) pissed off about the gimmicky use of our haka in this film??

  • fuck yes i am. crysaia

  • Wheres the bit about the beer, it's not Rugby with our binge drinking and flashing your bits.

  • AHAH!! THATS ME AT 1:27 in the red and white polo!!!

i was an extra in this movie and was there for 5 days...12 hours each day!!

    yeah i saw me! lol

  • woooot wooot HIGHLAND RUGBY

  • I'm on the real Highland Rugby team and its really cool to see gelwix teach hollywood actors the exact same drills he teaches us today

  • Highland is a bunch of 20 year old islanders playing high school ball. They recruit to get all the island kids. Screw them.

  • a bunch of 20 year old Islanders?!..are you blind!..take another look!

  • Dude, i played them last week. They're from Utah bro. all their players are from the state.

  • Sorry, but Gary Cole will always be Lundberg. Hope I can watch this without thinking of Office Space. Maybe Milton plays teh trainer?

  • Why do they do the Haka? They're not from New Zeland or any of the Pacific islands that do any type of pre match tribal dance?

  • what self respecting rugby team doesnt do some form of a haka

  • Well pretty much every one i've played for and every one i've played against. Thats a large number as i've played the game for 18 years.

The haka is a maori war dance. Its not relevant to a bunch of teenage Americans. The likely reason that they do it is because its 'cool' which is the completely wrong reason as it shows a lack of cultural respect.

  • actually grimlock, there are kiwis on the team. also the haka itself has become sort of intertwined with rugby.

  • The Highland Rubgy team has done a haka for over 30 years with the blessing & approval of the Maori community. In Utah, which has the highest per capita Polynesian population in the USA, excepting Hawaii, team hakas are common among high school football & rugby teams. BYU football does the Ka Mate haka before every football game. The movie brought two Maori men from NZ to the filming to make sure everything with the haka was done properly & with respect. HR believes what the haka teaches.

  • still dosent give you the right to do the hakas 1spman

  • well, UH used to do stolen haka too until they wised up and created their own 'HA'A' using olelo hawai'i (hawaiian language) and concepts. the ha'a is pono - stealing a haka (byu) is not. i'm glad they tried to do the right thing in this case but just from the trailer, that close up of shot of the guy's hand with his fingers splayed - that is not the way we 'wiri' - that is the way some all blacks do it though! looks more like 'spirit fingers' to me. i will wait til i see the movie to say more.

  • i noticed that sean farris is doin a lot of unpopular sports movies

    well 2 at least

    never back down

    and this one

  • **pouts** No Neal. . .

  • woohoo finally a an american sports movie where i'll understand the rules! haha

  • Glad to se Rugby is finally moving up in popularity here in the US. I've been playing for 8 years now and I'm glad it's growing in the highschools
