Together with him she lived a long and happy life, giving births to four children. It is curious that after Maria all the children from Rykin family married only the Kazakh. In general, Rykin family became fully international. Maria’s creative activity was going on: she became a noble poet, author and performer. Her songs were so popular that they were considered to be composed by folk. Later, in her mature years in 1945, Maria was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Kazakh SSR.
But, unfortunately, their happiness did not last long: soon after the wedding Dyuissen got violently ill and died. Maria was left alone.
The love story of Maria and Dudar became a legend.
Actually, Maria Yegorovna Rykina (1887-1950), being the daughter of a migrant Yegor Rykin, could perfectly speak Kazakh language, knew well Kazakh folk songs, and learned the national style of their performance.
It took a lot of time, until Maria married another guy, by the way, Kazakh, too.
Dyuissen having heard this song realizes that he has to make a decisive action. After the final verse of the song Maria says that it is better to commit suicide than marry the unloved. And Maria’s parents have already arranged that soon Andrey’s parents living in a neighboring village will come to them to seek in marriage their daughter.
Dyuissen’s parents were against that union. Dyuissen with his beloved escaped from the house and married secretly.
(continued) lyrics in free translation: Verse 2: Dudarai, dear, There is one path between Aschikol and Tuschikol lakes, A beaver fur cap suits you. Dudar, dear, if you want to come - come quickly, Just narrow-souled guys are laying claim to your place. The scissors in Mariam’s hands are sharp, I wish Mariam’s name remained inscribed on paper, Rather than to become a prey to the non-beloved. Let a dug grave would have been found In the earth for me.
lyrics in free translation: Verse 1: A Russian girl Mariam, daughter of Yegor, Turned seventeen at that time. Mariam fell in love with Kazakh Dudar And addressed to him with these words: Chorus:Dear Dudar, I came into this world only for you! Dudar, dear, have you grazed the white horse? For some reason you haven't showed up at the appointed place You haven't come to me at the appointed hour Isn't it because of non-belief in my Russian nature? (to be continued)
I really proud! that im a Kazakh! i like it And i really love when people from different countries with different nationalities like our national music))) Come to us in Kazakhstan))) traditionally: algaa Kazakhstan!!!)))
The song is about a lassie who is like a lovely rose. One day a laddie heard her sweet singing and fell from his horse because he was so much fascinated.
